RESPONSIBILITIES

• The role involves planning, coordinating, and implementing standards development projects under the national standardization programme administered by Enterprise Singapore.
• Provide secretariat support to the Technical Committees and Working Groups. This includes preparation of agendas, meeting minutes, report compilation, drafting of standards, etc.
• Engage and coordinate with the industry, academia, and government organizations to facilitate the development, promotion, and review of Singapore Standards and Technical References.
• Organizing key standard launches events and other outreach events.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify, develop, and launch new standards. This includes conducting consultations and ensuring that standards are aligned with industry needs.
• Assist in the industry and technical research for the development of new/review of standards. Conduct verification studies to identify users of the standards.
• Handle inquiries regarding standards in your area of responsibility, ensuring prompt and accurate responses to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma qualification in quality and safety / Fresh graduate are welcome to apply
• Preferably with at least three (3) years of relevant work experience in safety or manufacturing related field
• Preferably with secretariat experience
• Min. 3 years of experience in quality, safety or manufacturing industry is advantageous
• Results-oriented and able to manage and execute projects in a team and independently.
• Possess good interpersonal skills and work well with various stakeholders
• Good writing and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other productivity tools

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update accounting records and files.
• Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger (e.g. by assets, liabilities and expenses).
• Reconcile bank statements in a timely manner.
• Review and process invoices.
• Perform month-end and year-end accounting closings.
• Apply new accounting policies and ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
• Entries in SAP for Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and General Ledger (GL).
• Liaise with Group Accountant.
• Carry out and support other duties assigned by the Company.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of SAP Systems is an advantage
• Proven ability to work collaboratively and maintain trust and integrity within a team.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is preferred.

· Creating and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensuring accuracy of financial information.

· Ensure monthly bank reconciliations are done properly.

· Co ordinate with the banks for LC / Trade finance related queries.

· Assist in trade finance matters such as Letter of Credit (“LC”) issuance, LC negotiation etc.

· Coordinate with relationship managers for banking and trade related queries.

· Liaise with banks to follow up on TT payments and receipts.

· Prepare and submit quarterly GST and withholding tax to IRAS.

· Manage receivable and payables from customers and suppliers.

· Budgets Vs Actual Comparison and Analysis.

· Statutory compliances including but not limited to taxes, Audits.

· Analysis of expenditure proposals including capex and marketing expenses.

· General admin duties and other ad-hoc duties as and when assigned.
