Job Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Coordination:

• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for the LRT Train.
• Ensure the integration of design, engineering, procurement, and construction phases.
• Coordinate with various teams, including civil, mechanical, electrical, and software engineers.

2. Risk Management:

• Identify potential risks (technical, financial, operational) early in the project.
• Develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure smooth project execution.

3. Resource Management:

• Manage resources such as labor, materials, and equipment.
• Oversee procurement processes for materials and services needed for the project.

4. Quality Control:

• Ensure the project complies with safety standards, quality control procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise inspections, audits, and testing of materials and work.

5. Progress Monitoring and Reporting:

• Track project progress against timelines and deliverables.
• Provide regular updates to senior management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
• Address any deviations from the schedule or budget.

6. Problem-solving and Decision-making:

• Resolve issues related to construction, engineering, or delays that might impact the project’s schedule or budget.
• Make decisions on technical matters that could affect the overall success of the project.

7. Project Closeout:

• Ensure all deliverables are completed, and the MRT system is handed over to the operational team.
• Organize the final inspection and commissioning process.

Requirements:

1. Educational Background:

• A degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Locomotive
• Certifications in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are often preferred.

2. Experience:

• Significant experience (5+ years) in managing large infrastructure projects, especially in transport or construction industries.
• Previous experience in MRT or rail projects is highly advantageous.

3. Technical Skills:

• Familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
• Knowledge of the MRT system design, construction, and operational requirements.
• Understanding of safety standards and environmental regulations.

4. Leadership and Communication Skills:

• Strong leadership to manage and motivate teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage relationships with stakeholders.

5. Problem-solving Ability:

• Critical thinking to resolve issues related to project design, execution, or regulatory challenges.

Marketing/Branding Responsibilities:

1) Donor management

• Establish and maintain a database of donors, categorised by corporate (active/passive), individuals, (active/passive) and lapsed donors
• Act as a key liaison with donors, co-ordinating and working with fundraising volunteers to maintain regular contact through emails (templated by category) and follow up on fundraising leads
• Actively grow our corporate network and execute programmes to encourage corporate partnerships, and in turn, donations
• Generate monthly report based on the categories of donor

2) Fundraising activity management

• Annual budget planning and forecasting of fundraising calendar of events
• Brainstorm, set up and execute fundraising initiatives and campaigns
• Work with various departments within SOSD to produce fundraising publicity material for dissemination through various media channels and outlets
• Responsible for ongoing communication, tracking fundraising projects’ progress and status vs. schedule, timings, delays etc. and ensure that fundraising project trackers are always updated
• Manage logistics of fundraising events (virtual or in-ground) and ensure full compliance with regulations and policies, working with volunteers to steer project management to final delivery
• Manage, monitor and update all fundraising activities and events timelines and set realistic expectations with stakeholders
• Manage Sponsor-A-Dog Programme
• Create P&L report for individual campaigns and events

3) Adhere to SOSD Fundraising SOPs

• Monitor internal fundraising workflows, identify and make recommendations for areas for improvement
• Follow agreed workflows and utilise relevant project management tools

4) Volunteer management

• Manage a team of fundraising volunteers and assist in recruitment of suitable volunteers for the team

5) Healing Paws

• Oversee and support Healing Paws programme where needed

• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in marketing and/or fundraising
