Job Description

• Industry/ Organization Type: Production (Manufacturing)
• Position Title: Production Engineer / Executive
• Working Location: West Region
• Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 7.30 am – 5 pm
• Salary Package: Up to $4,000 + AWS + VB
• Duration: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Organize, monitor, and ensure manufacturing processes run efficiently with minimal costs using manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital wisely.
• Start, implement, and manage process improvement programs based on best practices in the metal drum industry, focusing on productivity and product quality.
• Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with all regulatory and statutory requirements.
• Collaborate with the HR department to address employee grievances promptly.
• Conduct employee performance reviews to gauge the competency, knowledge, and contribution of maintenance technicians and engineering staff.
• Maintain work safety practices and continually enhance safety records by addressing physical safety issues and employee safety attitudes.
• Keep all areas clean and organized.
• Evaluate, train, and maintain individual skills to stay updated with the best engineering management practices.
• Ensure timely submission of overtime records to the HR department for monthly salary calculations.
• Establish and prepare process documentation, such as work instructions, process specifications, and assist with the quality plan.
• Prepare reports, analyse data, and make recommendations to improve plant operations and solve production issues.
• Ensure subordinates are trained, equipped, and motivated to accomplish the maintenance program safely, timely, and cost-effectively.
• Communicate regularly with all production and maintenance teams to ensure good two-way communication about production and maintenance issues.
• Assist in hiring production personnel.
• Maintain and update operating manuals for all manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Perform any other projects or tasks assigned by the HOD/Management.

• Diploma or Degree in Manufacturing, Electrical, Mechanical, or Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to supervise and lead subordinates.
• Willingness to work after hours or on non-working days.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Computer literate.
• Knowledge of ISO standards is a plus.
