AIDRIVERS is paving the way to revolutionize mobility with advancing in automotive technology making it; efficient, safer and smarter. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the platforms have the required level of sensing and is equipped with right sensing technology. You will also be responsible for designing and running the calibration and verification tests to verify sensor transformation. You will collaborate closely with our team of world-class engineers and researchers with diverse backgrounds in areas such as robotics, perception, and sensors. The job will be based onsite at Pasir Panjang Container Terminal (near Pasir Panjang MRT stations) and will involve shift work.
Responsibilities Includes:
• Awareness of sensor technology and their specs
• Awareness and knowledge of our AV software stack
• Calibration and fusion of multi type sensors and its verification
• Sensor integration and noise modelling
• Supporting team lead with designing integration, calibration, and verification test plans
• Performing continues tests / data collection as per designed test plans and recording observations and issues.
• Working closely with a team of engineers and researchers within the group whose mission is to provide a rock-solid foundation for testing and exploitation of our robotics science.
• Supporting ambitious field trials and data collection exercises in outdoor settings. This involves travel to international test sites.
• Debugging sensor software and environmental noise and related issues.
• Reporting complex observations with easy-to-understand details with the team
Skill set required:
Essential:
• ITE/Diploma/Degree level qualification in Robotics/ Computing/ Electrical/ Mechanical or any other related subject
• 1+ years proven professional hands-on experience.
• Basic understanding of Linux/ Windows OS and of programming languages python or C++.
• Good trouble shooting/ root cause analysis skills
• A flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to deadlines
• Ability to work on-site under different conditions, especially port environment.
• Methodical approach to work
• Passion for autonomous vehicles.

Desirable:
• Knowledge and experience of ROS
• Experience of working with industrial sensors such as LiDAR/Radar/Vision/IMU and GPS, ideally on autonomous vehicles.
