Production Manager

Mercantile is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Production Manager for our mobile devices refurbishing facility. You will be responsible for overseeing the production process, managing the production team, and ensuring that quality standards are met in refurbishing mobile devices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations, implement process improvements, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your role will be critical in ensuring that production targets are met, and refurbished mobile devices are of high quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Management: Oversee the production process, including receiving, testing, repairing, and refurbishing mobile devices according to established quality standards and production schedules. Ensure that production targets are met, and that the production process is optimized for efficiency and effectiveness. Identify and recommend equipment upgrades or replacements to improve production efficiency.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Handles fund related matters, including making invoice payments for costs incurred in the course of legal filings etc.
• Requires working closely with the relevant functional units such as Legal, Compliance and Operations as well as external legal counsels and Trustee

Product Development

• Assist with setup of new products (Authorised and/or Restricted scheme), including taking minutes of meetings and making sure issues raised for the project are addressed and the fund is timely registered with the Authority in support of Sales’ product launch timeline.
• Requires liaising with relevant function units such as Sales Distribution team, Operations and Compliance.

Support for the Business Management

• Work on ad-hoc projects or any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Pre-Requisites:

• Diploma in Law or Degree, preferably in Business, Finance & Accountancy

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in the financial industry (in product, para-legal or compliance role would be advantageous)

• Good understanding of unit trusts / ETFs

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Strong Project management skills

• Meticulous and diligent individual with positive attitude

• Self-motivated

• Team player
