Goal of Position

The incumbent is responsible in overseeing and coordinating finance-related processes (including budget planning and regional reporting), monitoring financial performance against targets, initiating corrective actions, and support business cases and profitability analyses to ensure financial success.

Key Responsibilities

• Support preparation of various financial reports for Asia Pacific region
• Conduct data analysis at various levels, e.g. country, region, business unit, branch management, product line, and etc.
• Coordinate group planning process at country / region level for Bearing & Industrial Solutions division
• Coordinate and prepare budgets on country / region level for Bearing & Industrial Solutions division
• Initiate action plans for profit achievement
• Perform know-how transfer related to application of controlling and finance tools
• Support optimization of cost / benefit relation and various key figures
• Assist in financial analysis and strategic finance planning
• Prepare business cases in conjunction with integration and establishment of new legal entities and/or new locations.
• Attend plant reviews
• Carry out technology benchmarks
• Mentor and train staff

Job Requirements

• Possesses Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Economics or Business Administration
• Possesses at least minimum 15 years' experience in Finance with leadership experience of minimum 6 years
• Experience in controlling for Industrial industry
• Experience and knowledgeable in SAP ERP system
• Comfortable to work in highly matrixed organization
• Experience in manufacturing environment would be added advantage
• Equips with extensive knowledge in controlling and/or accounting function

Job Description

The Associate Director in the Strategic Relations business unit plays a crucial role in representing the school in senior engagement and relationship management. This position has a strong focus on identifying new opportunities through establishing C-suite contacts, and nurturing relationships with senior-level academia and industrial alliances. He/she will be required to proactively engage both local and regional alliances to build a potential pipeline of industry partners to further collaboration opportunities.

We are seeking a self-driven individual with a proven ability in proactively engaging and fostering alliances to enhance partnership opportunities. The individual should be comfortable navigating ambiguity, maintaining a results-driven outlook, and embracing innovation to achieve desired outcomes.

Strategic Implementation of Regional Initiatives

• Enhance our target growth in student diversity through regional engagement initiatives
• Manage international relations - support the Business School's vision to lead from Asia
• Identify, optimize and develop strategic partnerships with large regional organizations and institutions to expand market reach and engagement
• Actively seek out and generate leads to expand opportunities and conversations

Corporate Engagement and Stakeholder Mapping

Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with internal stakeholders to jointly increase brand and programme level awareness in key markets through outreach efforts

Events Planning

• Strategic planning of selected events that align with the Business School’s vision. This includes conceptualisation of the programme flow, invitation of appropriate guest speakers, engagement activities, liaison with stakeholders and the overall management control of logistics and budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience
• Strong leadership profile with excellent interpersonal skills across organisational hierarchy and ability to work effectively with a diverse community
• Communicate effectively with senior-level B2B - lead generation through business closing. and represent the university professionally in all interactions
• Proven competencies in business development and demonstrated success in driving account growth
• Able to work with loosely defined problem spaces, and investigate to sense-make, propose and implement sound and timely solutions
• Proven track record in industry collaboration and experience in the higher education sector will be advantageous
