RESPONSIBILITIES

The Programme Associate primarily assists in implementation of initiatives and development plans that are congruent with the organisations goals and the needs of the community. With guidance from the Programme Manager, he /she will ensure the proper execution of the above-mentioned initiatives and development plans.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Provide support for programme preparation and execution:

• Cognitive stimulation such as engaging person living with dementia with meaningful activities like physical and mental stimulation using Activity Tool Kit.
• Companionship for person living with dementia (PLD) and a platform for continuation of social interaction at their comfort of home.
• Respite care and support to Caregivers.

Daughters Of Tomorrow Limited

Registered as a charity under the Charities Act of Singapore, Daughters Of Tomorrow complements and supports existing training and workforce-related agencies by connecting volunteers and community resources to enable each woman on an individual level. By deep-diving into the practical day-to-day constraints of these women, we offer hand-holding and individual coaching to help each woman reach regular and sustained employment.
Our beneficiaries are women aged 18 to 68 from low-income families (living on less than $800 per capita per month), mostly living in government-subsidized rental flats, and facing multiple stressors in their families. Research Executive (Social Mobility Programme)

About the Role

The SMP Executive will support the Research, Monitoring and Evaluation team to execute a funded research project - specifically the Social Mobility Programme, an exploratory research programme aiming to explore what interventions can better encourage women to increase stability and create improvements in their lives.

This role will report to the Research, Monitoring and Evaluation Manager and work closely with the SMP Research consultant, and coordinate with other programme functions, including Programme Development & Incubation, Community Partnerships & Programmes, Employment Bridging & Social Mobility, and Volunteer Management. The role will also involve participating in an organisation-wide bi-weekly meeting in person.

Responsibilities

Research - Social Mobility Programme

• Support the research team in recruiting for the programme, including identifying potential women who will be eligible for the research, organising recruitment drives, calling eligible women to share about the programme.
• Assist in consent taking when onboarding women into the programme as research participants
• Track the dates of intervention for participants and alert team on the follow-up needed
• Coordinate the timing and location for intervention, check-ins and interviews with participants

As a Director of Communication and Fundraising, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of internal employee and external stakeholders’ communication strategies to build St Luke’s ElderCare’s (SLEC) brand awareness, engagement, and brand value to support SLEC’s strategic priorities and growth plans. We will leverage strategic communications through digital and social media platforms to demonstrate the impact of our programmes and services, grow relationships with our stakeholders, and build thought leadership on active ageing that is transformational and innovative.

The Director of Communication and Fundraising will also be responsible for growing and managing income generation to support SLEC in delivering on its mission of transforming community care by enriching the lives of those through graceful and active ageing. The incumbent will develop and implement donor engagement, fundraising, philanthropic strategies and plans to support SLEC’s strategic priorities. The objectives are to establish meaningful relationships with the community, corporations, major donors and sponsors, to retain the current donor base, and develop new donor relationships.

Communication

• Develop and deliver SLEC’s communication strategies to effectively communicate with various stakeholders, including current and potential customers, employees, government entities, and the general public.

Reporting to Medical Director (MD), the Director of Nursing provides positive leadership and effective management of the Nursing Department and other functions designated by the CEO/ MD, ensure a high level of professionalism and cost-efficient nursing service throughout DPH and participate in the planning of new future advancement.

Job Responsibilities:

Lead and Manage

• Organize and develop the nursing department, its system and its staff to a high degree of professionalism
• Ensure accurate monitoring of staffing levels to match hospice activity with appropriate staff, utilizing an effective combination of permanent and contract staff
• Ensure that provision of effective recruitment programme in line with the budget
• Ensure regular review of practice and level of service provided by the department and update relevant policy accordingly
• Monitor and develop the nursing quality by actively participate in Quality Improvement programmes
• Collaborate closely with other Leads for continuing improvement and compliance
• Monitor and review budgets
• Monitor manpower and staffing matters

Education

• Participate in In-service programmes
• Participate in patient / family health education programmes

Staff Support

• Resolve conflicts, seeking help when required
• Provide staff with emotional and situational support

Research

• Encourage and Supervise Nursing Staff Research

Job Requirements:

• Recognised Basic Degree in Nursing
• Registered Nurse with Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) with at least 5 years of experience in Senior Nursing Management
• Gerontology, Oncology Care or Palliative Care trained (preferred)
• Experience in Nursing Administration / Leadership Role at least 2 years (preferred)
• Experience in Quality Improvement (preferred)
• Experience in Training and Research (preferred)
• Mature, dynamic and self-motivated
• Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision
• Compiles with accepted professional standards and practices
• Possesses good references from employers and /or professional peers, flexible and cooperative in fulfilling all obligations

Reporting to Chief Executive Officer, the Assistant Director of Community Engagement focuses on driving DPH’s mission through strategic initiatives in building and nurturing a specific community around DPH, fundraising, event management and sponsorship. The work revolves around creating shared purpose for the specific groups to interact, share ideas, support, contribute and advocate for DPH’s mission. This includes strategies to involve the community in the charity's activities.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Fundraising and Outreach Engagement

• Works closely with the CEO and members of Executive Team to plan and execute a comprehensive strategic outreach engagement and activation plan
• Meets established fundraising and outreach goals, understanding the critical role that supporter participation plays in ensuring the success of DPH
• Develop an overarching strategy that includes appropriate communications, marketing, supporter cultivation, personal contact, effective solicitation, and ongoing relationship
• Directs the major fundraising initiatives, including special events, individual giving, major gifts, planned giving, grants

New Donor/Donor Management

• Initiates and maintains contact with major donors, building meaningful relationships
• Conducts independent research, to identify, recruit and activate prospective supporters

Market Trends and Best Practices

• Stay current with national and other work and research on the areas of non-profit engagement and community activation

Others

• Serves on the executive leadership team (ET)
• Works closely with the Fundraising and Communications & Outreach Committees
• Works closely with Finance, Clinical, Operations and HR to ensures the proper receiving, allocating, recording, acknowledging, and meaningful use of all gifts
• Assists with other duties as assigned by the CEO

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Mass Communications or related field
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience, with at least 5 years in senior managerial capacity
• Professional experience working with diverse staff and a history of productive and dynamic team work
• An authentic desire to elevate DPH and to embrace/advance its mission
• Extensive experience in fundraising strategies and event planning, including demonstrated success in securing financial support.
• Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written, and superior interpersonal and intuitive skills in connecting with various audiences

RESPONSIBILITIES

Programme and Residents management

• Part of a multi-disciplinary team to support activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy
• Introduce, implement rehabilitative therapies and/or programmes. Review and evaluate therapies and programmes to see if they are relevant to residents.
• Facilitate, coordinate and plan in-house programmes for residents. Monitor residents’ involvement for in-house activities and update individual residents’ care plan (ICP) report to respective case or social workers/managers
• Work closely with the Programme team to ensure programmes rostered to do are delivered
• Plan, develop program materials, design and implement group activities
• Work with key workers to implement strategies for behaviour management  
• Responsible for progress monitoring of achievement of residents’ care plan goals

Community Partnership and Volunteer Management

• Source, develop and sustain collaborations with other social service agencies, community stakeholders, corporate partners and, government agencies where necessary for effective programme and volunteer management
• Work with volunteers to deliver volunteer led programmes
• Responsible for maintaining the volunteer database

• Preferably Diploma in related field
• Those without diploma will be considered based on working experience
• Good communication, teamwork and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently and meet assigned deadlines
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
