Job Scope

This Director role is responsible for the team that delivers database administration solutions which involves complex problem solving and taking a broad perspective to identify creative solutions. This management role also serves as a technical functional specialist that guides the team to provide Db2 z OS database administration and solution on development and production systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage the team that supports Db2 database and database availability, database security patching, implementation of database maintenance and support the availability of development, QA, pre-production and production environments.
• Ensure that sufficient resources and skills are available to provide the required technical support.
• Manage a portfolio of applications databases and work with business technology groups to implement new database solutions and to maintain their own existing database portfolio.

• Create team level strategies, establish team level goals and identify new processes to improve internal productivity.

• Ensure adequate resources are available for the provision of database support for the MVS Mainframe Support Hotline.
• Maintain awareness and understanding of the current and planned software and hardware areas to ensure that Visa’s current and future application requirements are met.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. • Curate and implement programmes under the Talent Management programmes with the objective of talent attraction, talent selection, developing and retaining high performers and high potentials
• Administer the programmes from talent selection, identification to engagement as well as end-to-end planning and execution of the various activities/events scheduled throughout the entire programme period.
• Oversee the development of talents and tailor the blend of developmental opportunities (e.g. training programmes, master classes, secondments, stretch appointments etc) in accordance to their career stages to optimize leadership exposure and development

Succession Planning

• Lead the approach, facilitation and follow-up action planning for talent and succession planning. Identify growth potential, facilitate and execute the career progression and development plans of selected officers so as to ensure that there is a strong pipeline of successors for critical positions in the University
• Increase readiness and success rate of succession candidates through the implementation of Individual Development Plan (IDP) for identified successors.

The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:

• Degree or equivalent in Human Resource Management or relevant field with minimum 10 - 15 years of experience in Human Resources function.
• Proven success at the helm of the L&D function
• Strong track record in designing and driving change, culture building and employee engagement, as well as proven ability to effectively engage at senior leadership levels
• Possess up-to-date knowledge of best practices in organizational learning
• Strong in execution and has held leadership role(s) at team level

Role Purpose

• Manages, develops, and drives programs and projects in more than one Global IT functional sub-domain or a very large and complex sub-domain
• Guides business regions to ensure that programs and projects are managed in a harmonized way and delivered to agreed scope, time, cost, quality, and governance.

Do you have what it takes?

• Minimum 10 years of multi-disciplined IT experience including:
  • Experience in a large matrix organization(s), having gained broad expertise managing large, network-wide programs and projects tied to business goals.
  • Global experience, collaboration, and teaming.
• Educated to degree level or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Demonstrated solid program and project management accomplishments in a cost-responsible environment with execution by virtual and global teams in a matrix environment.
• IT solutions development and implementation experience – proven track record for project managing and delivering complex IT solutions.
• Ability to team with and manage a strong partner/supplier system.
• Leadership capability supported by a broad analytical and technical background.

• In depth expertise in at least one of the Data and Analytics domains – data strategy development, data warehouse & big data implementation, business intelligence applications, machine learning / artificial intelligence domains

• Strong skills in Agile delivery implementation methodology and delivery practices leveraging DevOps automation and engineering using CI/CD tools, code repositories and issue tracking and management.

• 6 – 8 years of experience in delivering full SDLC lifecycle projects in a Consulting or Systems Integration (SI) model.
• 4 – 6 years of experience in leading data and analytics projects as a delivery lead responsible for overall project outcomes (client and commercial)
• Experience in at least one of the industry or domain – Government and Public Services, Logistics, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Financial Services, Retail, Consumer Products
• Bachelor degree and above in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related fields.

Responsibilities:

• Drive sales through outbound calls, offering alternative products for parts and addressing client needs.
• Act as the primary liaison between clients, sales channels, and internal teams to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
• Build strong client relationships, profile target accounts, and gather market insights to identify growth opportunities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree preferably engineering; with specialization in Sales and Marketing or equivalent experience within a similar role.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management within the electrical industry, with a focus on Electrical Wiring Devices preferred.
• Familiarity with the Asian market dynamics and customer preferences in the electrical sector.
• Experience in Structured Cabling sales is advantageous.
• Preference for LEW certification.
