Summary

The Director, Marketing & Sales APAC will be a key executive leading the marketing and sales functions in the APAC region and a member of the global senior leadership team. The incumbent must have a strong, dynamic leadership presence, demonstrated strategic thought leadership, and commercial management skills. He/she will be responsible for driving the marketing strategy and execution, as well as sales growth for Ranpak in the APAC region, through a team of marketing and sales professionals. He/she must operate within the Ranpak environment, including following policies and processes defined by the public company parent (NYSE: PACK). As a market-facing representative of Ranpak, the incumbent must lead and act with integrity, authenticity, transparency, and honesty.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

· Marketing Strategy: Develop both the high-level strategy and detailed execution plans associated with product marketing

· Strategic Direction: Deploy strategic thought leadership to guide the commercial direction of the APAC region

· Sales Leadership: Drive toward revenue and gross margin goals for the APAC region, and build foundations for future growth

· Customer Satisfaction: Ensure customer service excellence and quality control

· Reporting: Operate with full transparency and provide accurate sales forecasts

· Global Coordination: Develop productive relationships across regions to ensure global alignment

· Coaching: Mentor APAC sales and marketing professionals regarding development of customers and marketing strategies, etc.

Profile

· 10+ years of experience marketing and selling business solutions in APAC – protective packaging experience ideal

• An intimate understanding of the APAC markets and product needs, as well as a proven track record of delivering results is required. Demonstrated ability to understand market trends and competitive analysis as well as actions taken to capitalize on those trends. Must have strong business acumen, judgment, and risk assessment capabilities. Significant experience working with major multi-national clients and partners and exceeding aggressive sales goals.
• Operational know-how and ability to partner across functions to ensure clear communications and efficient processes

· Experience driving growth in a competitive marketplace

• Has achieved organic growth and sustainable, high-quality earnings. Evidence of successful initiatives that identified expansion opportunities and executed the vision to drive growth.

Position Statement

The Director of Sales develop sales strategies and ensure timely activation to support achievement of sales targets in managed segments of corporate and government accounts including groups to contribute to the overall commercial success of the hotel. You will work closely with the Commercial Director and Revenue Management Consolidated Centre team to ensure accurate selling and pricing strategies, maximise yield and ensure compliance to company's brand and commercial services requirements. You will support teamwork between Room Sales, Groups Meetings & Events, Reservations and Operations team to ensure alignment as one team to achieve overall business objectives.

What will I be doing?

As the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Lead the Sales team in achievement of hotel's key performance indicators that include but not limited to hotel's revenue contribution, profitability, guest satisfaction, team members' satisfaction and loyalty contribution.
• Set individual sales targets for team and monitor for progress.
• Lead team towards achievement of business objectives.
• Organise familiarization trips, site inspections, hotel presentations and participate in tradeshows and showcases (local and overseas).
• Review and analyse business pace and market trends.
• Monthly production review and support appropriate sales activation plans.
• Monthly forecasting and results updates for commercial / business focused meetings.
• Lead and participate in sales and marketing activities including sales calls, sales trips, new accounts and groups business acquisitions and conversions.
• Support and participate in all client engagement plans.
• Review, recommend and implement local sales efforts to support business needs.
• Review and approve credit facility applications.
• Review accounts business production and implement appropriate plans to enhance share of wallet.
• Support Reservations and Groups Meetings & Events teams in achievement of overall commercial goals.
• Support in budget preparation and competition review.
• Manage stakeholder relationships including third party vendors in distribution, marketing and RFP resources.
• Be well connected with internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to owning company, Hilton corporate office, worldwide sales office, revenue management consolidated centre, conventions and visitors bureaus, airlines, trade partners, leisure travel wholesalers, online travel agencies and travel management companies to review and update market trends and explore new opportunities.
