Job Purpose:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful planning, execution, and completion of M&E EPC and EPCM projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project lifecycle, including scope, schedule, budget, and quality control. Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Execution:

• Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Ensure effective communication between project teams, stakeholders, and senior management to ensure alignment with project goals.

4. Risk Management and Compliance:

• Identify project risks and develop risk mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and company policies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage project changes, including scope adjustments, contract modifications, and stakeholder expectations.

5. Contract and Stakeholder Management:

• Manage relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and successful project outcomes.
• Oversee contract negotiations, manage contractual obligations, and ensure all project deliverables are met in line with client expectations.

6. Quality Assurance and Control:

• Implement quality control processes to ensure all project deliverables meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, safety compliance, and adherence to project specifications.

7. Project Reporting:

• Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management, clients, and stakeholders, providing updates on project status, risks, and milestones.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, budgets, reports, and contracts

Key Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of experience in project management within the M&E EPC/EPCM industry, with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale engineering projects.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification is an advantage.
• Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of M&E systems, including HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems, process system, cleanroom system, as well as construction methodologies, codes, and standards.
• Project Management Skills: Strong proficiency in project scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and contract administration. Experience with MS Project or similar project management tools.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Execute the project to specifications, budget and time scale.
• Establish and/or approve project objectives in conjunction with the Director.
• Co-ordinate with other departments on issues relating to the project.
• Liaise and co-ordinate with the Client / Engineer and their representatives on issues affecting the project.
• Identify training needs of project staff and arrange to provide appropriate training including training at site.
• Review material quotations and subcontract quotations.
• Approve material requisitions for the project within his limits of authority.
• Review all variations and claim submissions.
• Ensure all quality system documentation required including Project Management Plan, Project Quality Plan and associated method statements, Work Procedures and Inspection & Test Plans are prepared.
• Approve the Project Management Plan, Project Quality Manual and other project specific documented procedures.
• Chair the Project Quality System Review meetings as required.
• Appoint staff to be responsible for control of documents and records, control of inspection, measuring and test equipment and control of temporary works design and construction.
• Ensure that are activities are carried out to the highest HSE & Quality standards.
• Negotiate price, special conditions and addenda with all sub-contractors including nominated sub-contractors and vet sub-contract documents.
• Agree Final Accounts with sub-contractors and the Client in conjunction with the Director.
• Ensure those bonds, warranties and guarantees required are obtained and submitted and/or retained in accordance with the Contract requirements.
• Review and agree sub-contractors’ interim payment certificates against works completed

Requirements:

- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or any related field.

- Min. 5 years of experience in project management.

- Strong leadership and communication skills.

- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

- Experience in the construction field.

- Willing to relocate to overseas

Project Planning and Development

• Feasibility Studies: Assess the scope of reclamation projects, including environmental impacts, regulatory requirements, and budget constraints.
• Resource Assessment: Evaluate the resources (human, financial, and materials) required for successful project execution.
• Design and Strategy: Work with environmental scientists, engineers, and other experts to design reclamation strategies and create detailed project plans.
• Permitting and Compliance: Ensure all necessary permits are acquired and that the project complies with environmental regulations, land-use laws, and safety standards.
• Project Execution
• Site Assessments and Surveys: Conduct or oversee environmental site assessments, including soil testing, water analysis, and topographical surveys.
• Restoration Activities: Oversee activities such as soil stabilization, replanting, waste disposal, and construction of drainage systems.
• Equipment and Material Management: Oversee the procurement and management of machinery, tools, and materials required for reclamation efforts.
• Cost Control: Ensure the project is delivered within budget, and monitor costs for labor, materials, and any unforeseen expenses.

Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Compliance

• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and hazards related to site conditions, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Safety Programs: Enforce workplace safety policies, ensure adherence to industry standards, and conduct regular safety audits.
• Sustainability Initiatives: Ensure that the reclamation efforts are sustainable and that environmental impact is minimized.

Monitoring and Reporting

• Performance Monitoring: Use metrics to assess the progress of the reclamation project against goals, timelines, and budget.
• Environmental Monitoring: Ensure that monitoring of the environment (e.g., soil quality, water tables, vegetation growth) is ongoing and that any necessary adjustments are made.
• Reporting: Prepare and deliver periodic progress reports for clients, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders. Reports often include financial performance, environmental impact, and technical data.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

• Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects. Coordinate Business Units (BU) resources, timeline, and deliverables to ensure successful completion within schedule. Regularly review projects progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Manage and lead the project team to realize the project QDC objectives (estimate, plan and track the project development activities).
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including BU, staff customers and partners.
• Take ownership and keep track of customers’ request and project issues, and work closely with team for resolution on quality, delivery, and cost.
• Make recommendations to prevent problems and manage potential risks when necessary.
• Need to be flexible to adapt to deadlines, changing schedules and requirements, and unpredictable events.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Computer, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of work experience as Program Manager with project management skills in industrial or automotive industry.
• Ability to manage the different phases of the project life cycle, budgets, contracts, schedule, risk, etc.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize and manage pressure.
• Good communication skills.
• Possess Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) is an added advantage.
• Experience in cost and effort estimation for project quotations.
• Willingness to travel frequently in Asia region, such as India.

At Espressif, project management trainees play an essential role in both internal R&D and external customer-related projects. You will be working with a passionate team of engineers and scientists from all over the world, focusing on developing cutting-edge wireless communication, low-power, AIoT solutions.

First stage: Project Coordinator

• Work closely with the project manager to assist in planning, developing and implementing R&D or customer-related projects.
• Assist to identify key stakeholders and required resources, evaluate technical solutions.
• Closely monitor critical actions and escalate issues proactively to project manager for removal of project barriers.
• Maintain documents associated with the scope of new projects, objectives, processes and outcomes.

Second stage: Project Manager

• Take a leadership role in the implementation of new projects by setting up project plans, tracking action items, coaching engineers, and providing regular guidance to ensure project success.
• Identify potential problems and establish contingency plans based on risk assessments.
• Take lead on project kick-off and regular meetings, assign team member’s actions, coordinate resources as required till action closed.
• Allocate resources of software and hardware departments to effectively solve the problem along the projects.

Third stage: Senior Project Manager

• Manage large, complex projects that align with global business strategy.
• Proactively explore and identify opportunities for collaboration across multiple stakeholders, help define the business strategy and drive the success of the project execution.
• Motivate the teams to make them work effectively together.

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree or above, in Computer Science, Electronic Engineer, Communication Engineering, Automation, or other related disciplines.

2. Proficiency in one script language at least, C/C++/Python/Matlab, etc.

3. Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

4. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English and Mandarin to liaise with Chinese counterpart.
