Assistant Engineer (Project Management )

Summary:

• Equipment set up for various systems, conduct testing & commissioning

• Follow up with clients in a timely manner

• Assist sales team with site survey & system design

• Provide support and manage project

• Perform troubleshooting & repair / replace faulty parts

Additional Information:

• Planning and scheduling of projects
• To manage M&E construction projects and to monitor the projects are carried out with respect to the target schedule
• To handle design for Electrical and ELV works and to ensure clients' requirements are met
• To attend project meeting and to coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors and sub contractors

Key Responsibilities:

Work Experience

• 8+ years of experience in project management
• Responsible to manage multiple projects and ensure time bound delivery and quality as expected by customer
• Build Project plans including work break down structure, scheduling, resourcing, product availability, remote installation, pre-requisites etc.
• Provide the point of contact for resolution of project related issues
• Conduct project kickoffs and regular project status meetings
• Act as the primary interface point into broader technical teams to ensure the full breadth and depth of the organization is leveraged for the customer’s success
• Provide overall project leadership and direct project teams in the delivery of high-quality products within committed timeframes and budgets

Desired Profile

Technical -

• PMP or Prince 2 Certification or equivalent project management qualification
• Domain Knowledge – GSM/ CDMA Protocol level knowledge is a MUST
• Expert Project Management skills including: estimating, scope management, budgetmanagement, time management, risk management, change management, issue/conflict resolution, communication management, quality management, testing plans, training plans, team management
• Skills and knowledge acquired through participation in the delivery of data integration initiatives in each of the following areas: change management, release management, configuration management, systems integration, systems development life cycle methodologies, quality assurance and testing, requirements gathering, and systems analysis and design
• Experienced in handling solution, integration and testing related discussions
• Knowledge of various system interfaces and commissioning activities
• Use of project management tools like MS Project or equivalent
• Sound documentation and presentation skills using Microsoft Office

Non-Technical –

Job Summary

Reporting to the Division Project Manager; the Assistant Project Manager shall be responsible for the complete project life cycle which includes project planning, project execution, project controlling and project closure and leading the project team. Representing the company to client, initiating kick-off meeting with clients and internal Departments.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage small to medium EPC Projects of USD3 to 30 million and above.
• Lead Tendering EPC projects.
• Conduct contract reviews, risk analysis and contingency plan.
• Organize proposal/project task force and plan staff allocation for effective use of resources.
• Establish project execution strategy. Setting project policy for quality, safety, cost and schedule.
• Review, monitor and analyze project operation.
• Handle the insurance, liabilities and warranties of the project.
• Review and approve project finance and control plan.
• Review and approve alternatives and deviations based on cost, schedule, and quality impacts.
• Prepare overall budget cost plan and analysis.
• Review and approve EPC cost estimation.
• Develop market awareness of company’s capability and ensure that company is invited to participate in bidding.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering preferred with at least 10 years of experience or equivalent.
• Have good knowledge of all disciplines, including Basic Process Technical knowledge.
