We are looking for a Product Management & Supplier Relations Lead – Commodity Chemicals to join our company.
The Product Management & Supplier Relations Lead plays a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of the Commodity Chemicals Sales Product Group. The key responsibilities include building and nurturing strong supplier relationships, spearheading the introduction of new products and services, and streamlining internal processes to manage commodity chemical inquiries effectively. This role ensures that offerings align with market demands and customer needs. Collaborating closely with the Commercial Manager, the Lead will establish a competitive pricing structure and contribute to the overarching business strategy, promoting seamless alignment between sales, local operations, and support functions.

What you will be doing:
Supplier Relations
- Build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, availability, and compliance.
- Work with Procurement to onboard new suppliers and address performance issues.
Product Management
- Research market trends and customer needs to develop and manage products.
- Introduce new products, align with customer feedback, and support business growth.
- Represent the company at events to promote products and position us as a market leader.
Operations
- Create and improve processes for handling commodity chemicals efficiently.
- Work with local teams to streamline operations and support growth.
Pricing & Training
- Develop pricing strategies to stay competitive and profitable.
- Train sales teams on product features and support customer engagement.
- Drive sales growth through campaigns and market insights.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, maritime, or a related field (Master’s/MBA is a plus).
- At least 2 years of experience in product management, sourcing, or business development within shipping, chemicals, or industrial supply sectors.
Skills & Competencies
- Proven expertise in building and maintaining supplier relationships.
- Strong analytical skills for market research and pricing strategy.
- Excellent project management and process improvement abilities.
