The role is to assist the Head of Compliance and the Compliance Managers in the operational aspect of the Compliance duties and responsibilities as follow:

• Manage the alerts review and clearance within the stipulated turnaround time
• Perform ad hoc screening checks pertaining to information requests from MAS and other government agencies, as well as any sanctions bulletins or information provided by head office
• Prepare management information for reporting
• Track and ensure all P&Ps are duly revised before the revision due dates

Detailed Responsibilities are as follows:

Screening/Transaction Monitoring Alerts Management

• Ensure timely review/discounting of alerts in SafeWatch (SSW) and Financial Crime Compliance Management (FCCM) system.
• Ensure all RFI requests are duly and promptly provided to the Centre of Excellence (CoE) for the timely closure of all alerts (both SSW and FCCM).
• Refer alerts (both SSW and FCCM) with suspicious elements/red flags to the Compliance Managers for further review and investigation.
• At the close of each working day, ensure all SSW alerts are cleared/released and to liaise with other relevant internal stakeholders for transactions that are pending SSW filtering and clearance.
• Ensure all FCCM alerts are closed within the stipulated turnaround time.

Ad Hoc Information Requests from Regulator and Other Government Agencies

• Perform screening/checks on information requests from MAS and other government agencies (e.g. MHA, CAD, etc.) and escalate any abnormalities found to the Compliance Managers for further review and investigation.

Maintenance and preparation of Management Information Reporting

• Ensure the timely updates and the accuracy of the KYC clients list on a monthly basis with the relevant stakeholders.
• Assist the Compliance Managers in the preparation of MI reporting to head office and senior management.

Policies and Procedures Management

• Track the revision due dates of all P&Ps in the branch and send out timely reminder to all stakeholders to ensure all P&Ps are revised in a timely manner.

Sanctions Bulletin

• Ensure all sanctions bulletin from head office are duly screened against the entire clients’ portfolio for the review of any true sanctions hits.

Ad Hoc Tasks/Assignments

• Assist the Head of Compliance and the Compliance Managers with any ad hoc tasks/assignments from time to time.

• Monitor the project including progress control, quality control, variation/ cost control, safety control, environmental control etc;
• Report any critical and/ or major issues to SOR/Assistant to SOR proposing possible solutions;

• Keep and maintain proper, detailed and updated site records on progress of work;
• Monitor and properly record inspection of different architectural trades;
• Assist Consultants/Clients in the supervision and quality assurance of construction works on site;

• Ensure that all installation methods and materials used are in accordance with contract specifications and drawings;
• Liaise with contractors/sub-contractors in the coordination of site works;
• Highlight discrepancies, feedback site progress and irregularities to Consultants;
• Ensure the contractors maintain work safety, cleanliness and tidiness of the site.

Requirements

• Diploma in Architectural Studies from tertiary institution and National Certificate in Construction Supervision (NCSS);
• At least 5 years of relevant site experience as a Resident Technical Officer with extensive architectural and interior design supervision, of which 3-5 years of experience preferably in architectural works for healthcare projects;
• Fully conversant with statutory regulations and codes for site supervision, quality control procedures construction administration of progress reports;
• Self-motivated, proactive and team player.

• Responsible for managing emails and telephone inquiries regarding Practising Certificate (PC) renewals and Continuing Professional Education (CPE) claims
• Assisting in the processing of applications, generating reports to monitor PC renewals, and sending reminders for PC renewals and Stop Practice letters for non-renewal.
• Additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
