Working in the engineering team, the senior network engineer have extensive knowledge and experience in installation, termination of network equipment (Copper & Fiber Outlet, patch panel and cable management). He/ She will possess hands-on experience in testing & programming of network switch, router, WLAN controller, AP and firewall. He/ she have relevant system architect in data center infrastructure design and implementation including server (VMware), SAN storage and network.

1. Take ownership of system design & implementation to make a truly access and complete of client requirements until full closure of the project delivery.

2. Conduct factory acceptance test in the workshop, providing FAT report.

Job Description: DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between development and our AWS based infrastructure, ensuring the seamless integration of these two critical functions. Your role is pivotal in enhancing our software delivery processes and maintaining a reliable infrastructure. You will work at the intersection of technology, collaborating with development teams to streamline the deployment, delivery, and management of software products. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to deliver high-quality software to our users efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS, leveraging best practices for scalability, reliability, and security.
• Lead the adoption and implementation of AWS services and features to optimize infrastructure performance, cost efficiency, and operational excellence.
• Configure and manage AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, and EKS to support the deployment and operation of containerized applications and microservices.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such Terraform to provision and manage AWS resources in a repeatable and automated manner.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure the health and performance of cloud-based applications and services.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize application architecture and performance for cloud environments, providing guidance on cloud-native design principles and best practices.

Requirements:

• 1 -3 years of experience in a DevOps/Cloud Engineering, experience designing, deploying and managing AWS based infrastructure
• AWS Certification such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator would be an added advantage
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitLab CI/CD.
• Experience in infrastructure provisioning tools like Terraform.
• Good knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, EKS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment, with a passion for learning and staying current with emerging technologies and best practices in cloud computing and DevOps.

Proposal

• Responsible on project tender and proposal
• Assist and follow up on pre and post tender clarification
• Preparation of tender submission documents and compile of proposal
• Adhere to proposal submission by deadline
• Prepare the proposal for management approval
• Assist in paper work and follow up with affiliates if necessary

Requirements

Roles and Responsibilities

Cluster Setup and Maintenance:

• Install, configure, and maintain big data platforms like Hadoop Clusters, Elastic Search, Spark, Kafka, Hive etc.
• Set up and manage distributed file systems (HDFS) and NoSQL databases (HBase, Cassandra).
• Ensuring high availability and reliability of Hadoop, Kafka and Elasticsearch Clusters.

Performance Optimization:

• Monitor system performance, fine-tune jobs, and optimize cluster utilization.
• Manage and resolve performance bottlenecks in big data environments.

Security Management:

• Implement data security policies, user authentication (Kerberos), and access control (Ranger, Knox).
• Regularly review and plan patch systems to ensure data integrity.
• Apply updates, patches, and version upgrades to all managed systems.
• Ensuring the backward compatibility and minimal downtime during upgrades.

Backup and Recovery:

• Plan and implement backup and recovery strategies for big data environments.
• Develop disaster recovery solutions and test failover scenarios.

Workflow Automation:

• Design and implement workflows using tools like Apache Oozie or Apache Airflow.
• Automate cluster management tasks like upgrades and scaling.
• Developing shell scripts and Ansible Playbooks to automate routine tasks, including monitoring, backups, and deployments.

Monitoring and Support:

• Monitor logs, metrics, and system health using tools like Ambari, Cloudera Manager, or Prometheus.
• Provide 24/7 on-call support for production systems and resolve incidents.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with data engineers and developers to support ETL pipelines and data processing jobs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure big data systems meet organizational needs.
• Working transversally with other teams to guarantee high data quality and availability.

Cloud migration

• Migration planning from On-premises to GCP & AWS cloud

Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of big data ecosystems (Hadoop, HDFS, YARN, Hive, HBase, Spark, Kafka and Elastic Search).
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix system administration.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Nagios, Grafana, or Splunk, HPOMI.
• Scripting skills in Python, Ansible, Shell, or Bash.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their big data services.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to handle high-pressure production environments.

Preferred Experience

• 8-9 years of experience in big data administration or similar roles.
• Hands-on experience in scaling and managing large, big data clusters in production environments.
