This includes development, deployment and operations of the necessary technical infrastructure and integration of a variety of computational models for anthropogenic heat emissions and urban climate simulations. The project is entering its final phase where is testing and transferring the DUCT to external stake holders.

Task/Job description

We are looking for a talented individual to join our interdisciplinary and international team based at the Singapore ETH-Centre.

Your key responsibilities are:

- Model and simulate the impact of district energy systems (with a special focus on cooling technologies) to urban warming in Singapore.

- Test the Energy system models to fine tune their performance in side the DUCT and de-bug when needed.

- Scenario testing. Carry a sensitivity analysis of the Energy model to understand its performance.

- Integrate these optimization algorithms into the Digital Urban Climate Twin platform.

Requirements

You should have:

- Master’s or PhD degree in Operations Research, Energy Systems, Process engineering, Civil engineering, Mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.

Fabrica AI Full time Electrical Engineer - Invention of Automatic Tile Grouting Robots

Fabrica AI is reinventing how robots are developed. Currently novel robots take 5-20 years. We are building a design automation platform to bring it down to a month, and have already demonstrated significant progress by developing tile grouting robots in record time. Robotics simulation and reinforcement learning has been advancing a lot making it 1000x cheaper to train robots compared to 5 years ago, and as Jensen Huang said at Nvidia GTC 2024, "the ChatGPT moment for robotics may be just around the corner." A couple other companies are building on the same paradigm shift but we are the only ones using it to automate hardware design, not just software.

Building robots and a design automation platform together brings great synergy - the platform helps us develop robots faster than anyone else and the robots allow us to gather data and do experiments at scale. Data gathering can be done through partnerships with other robotics companies, but doing experiments is crucial for grounding the platform in reality and ensuring its usefulness. The grouting robots are already deploying daily at construction sites and bringing value to clients. We are currently negotiating sales worth around 500k USD. With manufacturing cost multiple times lower than companies using a traditional robotic arm, our robots have an ROI in weeks. Our robot is also small and simple to use, operating from a single button without the need to upload floorplans or do any complex setup. Soon we would be expanding into other simple and valuable robots for the construction industry.

We’ve raised over 2.5m USD from Hoxton Ventures, Credo Ventures, our Professor from Cambridge University, Woh Hup, and the owner of BHCC (listed construction company). Job Description

The Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT), National University of Singapore is looking for researchers and engineers to develop next generation quantum computers based on trapped ions. There are multiple positions available at different levels with a diverse set of expertise. This program is funded under the National Quantum Processor Initiative, a flagship program under the National Quantum Office Singapore. The aim of the program is to develop a full stack quantum processor based on Yb-Ba ions. This program brings together the unique capabilities of the existing ion trap groups in CQT expertizing on these two-ion species to explore scalability of the system.

The Centre for Quantum Technologies is a pioneering quantum centre in the world offering a diverse research culture at the intersection of three different fields namely, theoretical, experimental Physics and computer science. The team members will work to build hardware for the next generation of the ion trap quantum processor. In this role, you will collaborate with multi-region teams, adopting the advanced AI technologies and applying AI models and strategies to enhance business models. Your primary focus will be on following and crafting the advanced AI algorithms for South-East Asia language in the ecommerce domain.

Job Description:

• Contribute to the research and implementation of pre-training and alignment algorithms include ultra-large-scale multilingual pre-training technology, Mixture-of-Experts model training, Instruction Pretraining, SFT, and RLHF.
• Contribute to the explanation and safety improvement of AI, especially in trustworthy Large language models.
• Follow the frontier technologies and make comparisons about the advanced technologies to apply in business scenerios.
• Conduct experiments to test the performance of different AI models, identifying areas for improvement and exploring new directions for enhancement.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment, applying expertise in statistics, scripting, and relevant programming languages.

Requirements:

• Doctorate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Programming & Systems Analysis, or other related disciplines
• Excellent coding skills, data structure and basic algorithm skills, proficiency in Python/Pytorch coding.
• 4 years of research experience in basic principles and training methods of industry-leading LLM (such as GPT, LLaMA).
• Have research experience in text generation or dialogue systems
• Excellent problem analysis and solving skills, able to deeply solve problems in large model training and application.
• Good communication and collaboration skills, able to explore new technologies with the team and promote technological progress.
