What does the role involve?

Our products are specified by structural consultants, builders, and other specialist design and Engineering personnel. As a Field Engineer, you will be working with specifiers, customers, sales teams, and designers to drive the sales of specific products – and will have the opportunity to work on exciting and groundbreaking projects!

This involves building long-term relationships with specifiers to gain knowledge of specifications on projects and educating key influencers on construction projects about the proper use, advantages, and value of Hilti products.

You’ll then communicate these product specs to sales teams for the conversion into sales. It means visiting job sites to assess design problems - as well as opportunities - giving technical advice, solutions, support, and adding value by Hilti products.

It also involves keeping track of specifications in the CRM system, communicating specifications, and educating about Fastening Technology Manuals, technical literature, and design software through field visits and/or seminars. Conduct technical seminars in specifiers’ offices and at potential sites to develop both short and long-term business opportunities/leads for the company.

Degree in Civil Engineering / Geotechnical Engineering with 5 to 8 years experience in Geotechnical and Structural Instrumentation works especially working experience in Singapore MRT Projects.

Responsibilities:

• Perform software development activities including requirements gathering and analysis, planning, systems design, development and implementation, documentation, testing and deployment.
• Participate and follow in all areas of the software development lifecycle from requirements definition to deployment.
• Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, wireframes, diagrams, charts, UI/UX, code comments and code reviews.
• Recommend and evaluate detailed design of system components/libraries to ensure reusability and flexibility is practiced, where applicable.
• Develop and Implement the software in accordance to the coding standards and design patterns specified in the design document
• Debug, troubleshoot and resolve bugs and complex issues.
• Research and evaluate new software technology stacks for project and product development.
• Report to and work closely with Team Lead / Project Manager for projects deliverables
• Provide operational support, ongoing maintenance and enhancement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above with solid programming skills in C# is highly desired.
• Good working knowledge on Microsoft technologies like .Net, .Net Core, Service-Oriented architecture, Entity Framework, nHibernate, ASP.NET, WPF, WCF and MS SQL.
• Familiarity with software design patterns, such as MVC and MVVM.
• Working knowledge on cloud DevOps
• Experience with Python or React would be advantageous.
• A good innovative team player with strong sense of integrity & accountability.
• Great communication skills.
• Must have willingness to learn new technologies.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking skills.
