Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team. As an SRE, you will play a critical role in enhancing system reliability, performance, and scalability while ensuring the seamless functioning of our production environments. Mandatory Skill-set

• Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or Information Systems;
• At least 10+ years of experience in system administration, SRE, or DevOps roles;
• Strong expertise in Unix/Linux systems and databases such as MySQL, MariaDB, SingleStore, or MongoDB;
• Experience with high availability and high-scale systems;
• Proficiency in Python and Unix scripting for automation;
• Experience with incident management, including post-incident retrospectives and resolution;
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and modern monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent.

Desired Skill-set

• Familiarity with database backup, archiving, and system performance tuning;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, driving continuous improvement in system performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor solutions that improve reliability and performance of production services;
• Manage and resolve production incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and documenting post-incident reviews;
• Automate repetitive tasks, streamline deployment processes, and continuously enhance operational efficiency;
• Work closely with development, operations, and product teams to design scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions;
• Utilize monitoring and alerting tools to track system performance, availability, and scalability, ensuring timely responses to potential issues;

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with 10+ years of experience in software development and expertise in Big Data technologies. The ideal candidate will work on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and analytics platforms to meet diverse business requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Build and optimize large-scale data pipelines using Hadoop, Spark (Core, SQL,Streaming), and PySpark.
• Manage and process structured and semi-structured data using Hive, Sqoop, Impala, and Kudu.
• Develop and implement streaming data solutions with Apache Kafka.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand technical requirements and implement data-driven solutions.
• Perform data validation, quality checks, and recon reports to ensure high data accuracy.
• Work on AWS services (S3, Glue, Athena) for cloud-based data workflows and analytics.
• Translate legacy systems to open-source frameworks, leveraging technologies like Python and SQL.
• Optimize performance and scalability for data processing and storage systems.
• Utilize Java/J2EE, Hibernate, and Struts frameworks for backend application development.

Requirements:

Technical Support and Troubleshooting

· Provide first level support for end-users, including handling software and hardware issues.

· Main projects involving but not limited to inflight point-of-sale solution, inflight marketplace, RFID inventory management.

· Create monitoring jobs to report status/issues for key activities.

Technical Skills

· Knowledge, familiar with C#, basic debugging.

· Basic understanding of Cloud technologies.

· Hunger to learn and apply new technologies across platforms.

· Proactively validate the current tech used and suggest areas for improvements.

· Good to have: Kotlin, React Native, mobile app knowledge.

Project Management

· Assist in the planning and implementation of IT projects, ranging from system upgrades to new system deployments.

· Coordinate with different departments to ensure IT projects align with business objectives and timelines.

· Monitor project progress, address any issues that arise, and ensure projects are completed on schedule.

· Participate in user acceptance testing, develop test cases.

Business and User Liaison

· Collaborate with business users to understand their IT requirements and challenges.

· Translate business requirements into technical specifications for vendor implementation.

· Provide training and support to users on new systems or functions.

· Act as a bridge between the IT team and other departments, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

· Prefer 2-3 years of experience in Systems Engineer or a similar role.

· Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, as well as common software applications.

· Must equipped with knowledge and familiarity with C#.

· Good to have knowledge with Kotlin, React Native, and basic debugging.

· Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues with hardware, software, and peripherals.
