The Site Engineer (Building) is responsible for assisting on the progress of site works and manpower related aspects of the project.

The responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:

• Monitor and supervise Engineers / foremen, ensure compliance to the quality procedures & standard of workmanship. Checking on quality and quantity of work by subcontractors.
• Preparation of detailed program for the site team to follow accordingly & completed in time.
• Resolve drawing discrepancies & technical difficulties with Technical team.
• Coordinates between sub-contractors/vendors/internal departments and monitor site manpower / material / equipment demands to meet schedules.
• Liaise with the Consultants on the submission related to structural works and Technical Department.
• Plan all works on site, including program schedules and construction methods, forecast equipment, material and manpower requirement, and control usage and wastages of all.
• Adherence to safety practices in the work place.
• Any other duties that may be assigned to you from time to time as your superior / management deem fit.

Job Scope

ACMV engineer is responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines needed to complete a ACMV project. He/she works to plan projects, establish project criteria, coordinate project reviews, and ensure the proper implementation of project elements.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assist Project Manager and site personnel in planning, execution, and completion of ACMV projects.
• Attend site tests and inspections to ensure quality standards and all health & safety requirements are adhered to.
• Supervise and liaise with relevant authorities, subcontractors, and workers on site to ensure quality standards and all health & safety requirements are met.
• Assist in the preparation of progress payment claims and variation orders as required.
• Analyze, manage, and track project costs against budget.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the management.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent
• At least 3 years relevant experience in project management, preferably in handling ACMV and within construction industry
• Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
• Experience and relevant knowledge in ACMV calculations including heat load, pump size, air flow rate, chilled water system performance, chiller sizing and configuration, fan sizing and more.
• Good interpersonal skills and pro-active in problem solving

Responsibilities

• Drive the overall execution of projects based on project requirements.
• Review mechanical and/or electrical system designs, specifications, calculations and other submittals.
• Oversee the project assessment phases.
• Ensure the mechanical and/or electrical systems designs and models developed are in accordance to project requirements.
• Lead the tendering processes and is responsible for the projects’ costs and budgets.
• Manage a team of engineers and ensures continuous performance improvement.
• May also be expected to perform the responsibilities of a Qualified Person in accordance with the Building Control Act.
• Required to work in office and at project sites.

Requirements

• A recognized Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent;
• At least 8 years of experience

Electrical site engineers direct and oversee electrical engineering projects at construction sites, resolving issues and ensuring that work is completed according to specifications. They balance project management and engineering tasks ranging from designing electrical plans to monitoring contractors. Electrical site engineers also ensure that plans and work are completed according to local and national electrical codes. Additionally, electrical site engineers conduct testing and maintenance on electrical systems, including final inspections prior to job completion.Electrical engineers design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacture of electrical equipment, such as electric motors, radar and navigation systems, communications systems, or power generation equipment. Electrical engineers also design the electrical systems of automobiles and aircraft.
