RESPONSIBILITIES

The FairPrice Group Supply Chain Business Unit (FPG SC BU) or Grocery Logistics of Singapore Pte Ltd (GLS) is a key logistics service provider to NTUC FairPrice Group and external customers. Our services provided include inbound logistics, warehouse and fulfilment and last mile delivery to the stores, customers and B2C home delivery.

Job Purpose

You will be a key member to contribute towards the growth and delivery of the Supply Chain Development & Analytics department. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of warehouse operations, and expertise in managing complex automation projects. Adaptability, problem-solving abilities, and a focus on continuous improvement are also essential for success in this role. You must also ensure that the supply chain is aligned with the FPG overall business objective and that is capable of meeting customer demand.

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive strategy for warehouse automation aligned with the Supply Chain goals, considering the unique requirements of ambient and cold storage facilities.
• Identify, evaluate, and select appropriate automation technologies (e.g., robotics, multi-shuttle, AGV, sortation etc.) that optimize operations and align with the allocated budget.
• Lead and oversee the implementation of automation solutions across multiple warehouses, ensuring seamless integration, minimal disruption to operations, and adherence to timelines and budgets. And Identify potential risks associated with automation implementation and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure business continuity.
• Work closely with various departments (operations, Tech, Finance, Industrial Engineer, Indirect Procurement) to gather requirements, and ensure alignment of automation solutions with overall business objectives. • Minimum 5 years of direct experience working with warehouse automation technologies, such as robotics, automated storage systems, conveyor systems, WMS, and IoT devices, is highly valuable. Job Description:
