• The role of the Business “Data Solution Lead – Markets/GCM” is to primarily support the Markets & GCM Businesses to implement data by design with-in their changes and projects. Business

Ensure “Data by design” for Markets business by:

• Developing an understanding of CIB Markets, GCM data architecture, data lineage and current state data architecture Gaps.
• Establishing a singular view of Markets & GCM data by developing conceptual data model and data domains model.
• Implementing the DQ change control framework to ensure critical data changes are aligned to the data models and data standards defined and implemented.
• Support key Transformations in the Markets & GCM business by providing Data Modelling expertise, Data by design recommendations and if required be able to deliver end to end data design activities.
• Establish the framework to utilize the domains model for setting design for new standards adoption such as Data Security, Data Privacy, Records Keeping, Data Sovereignty, and others by discovering and mapping the associated Classifications of data.
• Provide clear data definitions and data standards for all business terms to measure the Data Quality of captured and distributed data, to optimize the Data Design and resolve identified data definitions and standards deficiencies.
• Implementing Reference Data Architecture Principles and Target design for reference data and guide and support group projects and changes with right reference data design usage. Proactively monitor the health of current Reference Data and provide the recommendations for the full certification.
• Involve/ Engage Technology Architects and Teams to get support on Physical Data Architecture / Physical Data Models and related queries as required by Data Domain Ownership activities.
• Ensure (and if required implement and operate) appropriate governance forums to govern Data Design and Architecture, including defining their roles and responsibilities, to govern and authorize Data Designs, Models, Standards and Principles.
• Provide Data Architecture Consultation services to Group Projects and Change Initiatives.

• Maintain a mapping of Processes to Conceptual data model as right level of granularity to support changes.

The Lead Engineer will be looked upon as an informal trainer to Analyst and Engineers, using every encounter to share knowledge and recovery tips with Engineers, better equipping them to handle similar issues in future. All interactions with the clients, colleagues and vendors must remain highly professional, helpful, and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, support, and maintain mixed vendor network infrastructure.
• Assist ICE staff with problem solving and escalation procedures.
• Understand and follow operational policies/procedures and promote adherence to same
• Provide technical knowledge needed to ensure safe, effective, and efficient changes to the network infrastructure.
• Assist with development of policies and procedures for maintaining network infrastructure.
• Collaborate and work closely with all other IT teams.
• Lead Incident investigations, diagnosis, and service restoration and always give priority to the resolution of incidents.
• Provide consultation (troubleshooting, designing, on-boarding, risk mitigation, operational improvement) for areas of domain strength.
• Informal Trainer to Level II; ensures Level II skills are constantly growing through support and guidance.
• Participation in 24/7 on-call rotation if needed.

Knowledge and Experience

• Advanced knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, Arista and other vendor equipment and configuration
• Advanced knowledge and experience with Routing Protocols (BGP, ISIS, OSPF, etc.)
• Strong experience in MPLS and Traffic Engineering
• 10+ years’ experience hands on support and troubleshooting of networks.
• 6+ years’ experience with design and implementation on complex networks
• Understanding of network management, security, and monitoring
• Excellent writing and documentation skills
• Excellent customer service attitude
• Ability to operate effectively and professionally under pressure.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field

Preferred

• Experience working on financial and HFT networks.
• Strong experience in Multicast in switched and routed networks
• Expert level network certifications: CCIE, JNCIE. Etc.
• F5, Checkpoint, or Palo Alto advanced certification
• Automation and scripting experience
• Unix/Linux system administration
• Running and analyzing sniffer traces with deep TCP/IP protocol understanding.
• Ability to grasp very complex architectural concepts.
• In-depth hardware knowledge of switches and routers: (Internal chipsets specifications, TCAM and memory details, buffering capabilities and multicast replication details).
• Master’s degree in computer engineering or related field preferred but not needed.
