● Develop and follow through on restaurant staffs’ development plan to increase their loyalty and commitment, and pride with the outlet’s experience. Ensure all restaurant staff understand and adhere to all appropriate personnel policies, labour laws, security and safety procedures.

● Recruit, select and retain an optimum number of restaurant staffs, who are enthusiastically dedicated to guest satisfaction.

● Oversee and review performance appraisals based on defined goals and objectives for all restaurant staffs in a timely manner.

● Administer in-restaurant employees’ welfare & benefits packages, as well as payroll procedures.

● Maintain records for safety and appropriately documents contributions and performance in personal file.

4. Food Safety / Sanitation:

● Enforce and manages all food safety and sanitation requirement and practices as per company standard and statutory requirements.

● Maintain critical standards for raw and cooked food quality, beverages, service speed and quality, cleanliness and sanitation.

● Inspects food receiving, preparation, production, and storage areas to ensure that health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times.

5. Workplace Safety & Security:

● Ensure all security procedures (cash deposits, staggered method of opening, closing, etc.) are executed accordingly.

● Maintain all physical aspects of the restaurant, including landscaping, building, equipment, etc and ensure it is following the documented inspection and testing standards.

● Ensure all workplace safety policies procedures are maintained and adhered to at all times.

● Undertake regular practices of emergency & evacuation procedures and enforce compliance when need arises.

● Undertake risk assessments on all restaurant specific issues, where the absence of such could put employees and guests at risk.

● Undertake full investigations of workplace incidents in the restaurant promptly and act upon any rectifications or work improvements.

Job Summary

This role has a direct reporting line to the CFO. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting all Business Units (BU) on all finance-related matters, including financial analysis, cost modeling, preparation and review of monthly and annual accounts, annual budgets and forecasts. The Finance Manager shall ensure that the accounting records for all entities are consistently in good and proper order for annual audit and statutory reporting purposes.

Role and Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, annual, and quarterly management and financial reports on a timely basis
• Prepare annual budget and forecast(s) in collaboration with the BU’s leadership team
• Prepare financial profitability and variance analysis between actuals, budget and forecast on a monthly/periodic basis
• Responsible for regulatory submissions (including governmental survey) and management of all tax matters, draft tax computations and GST returns
• Review and implement internal processes and, controls
• Ensure compliance with proper governance, controls and process requirements
• Prepare project costing, investment analysis, financial modelling and projections as required for approvals at Management and/or Board levels
• Liaise with auditors, government agencies, financial institutions and tax agents as and when relevant
• Oversee the completion of internal and external audits to ensure regulatory and statutory accounts are properly and duly completed in a timely manner
• Plan and execute fixed asset verification exercise as may be required
• Oversee the BU’s procurement-to-pay process, review and approve purchases and payments according to the relevant approval matrix
• Ensure timely billing and collections within the order-to-cash policies and processes.
• Conduct review on cash conversion cycle, monitor on cashflow and working capital requirement
• Assist the CFO in preparation of materials and reports for Board, Audit and other Committee Meetings
• Assist in the implementation of new ERP, mainly on financial modules
• Assist the Heads of BU on all business matters as may be directed
• Undertake any ad hoc assignments as may be assigned from time to time

Requirements

• Technically competent with solid knowledge of local accounting standards and practices and Income Tax Act provision
• Degree in Accountancy, ACCA or equivalent
• Professional qualifications like CA or similar qualifications will be advantageous
• 8-10 years of relevant working experience with at least 3-5 years in a managerial capacity
• Independent and able to work under tight deadlines and resource constraints
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, meticulous, proficient in MS Excel, Powerpoint etc. and accounting software
• Determine in process improvement, especially in areas where processes are manual
• Possess high integrity, and has strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Self-motivated, well organized and results-oriented
• Able to interact well with Senior Leaders (Management and/or Company Directors)
