Job Description:
• To handle and support all purchasing activities for HQ and regional offices, supplier management, gather quotations for internal sales colleagues and, coordinate on all import and export shipments.
• To negotiate with existing vendors for better pricing, delivery lead-time and develop new supplier business relationships. Establish consignment contracts with suppliers for cost efficiency.
• Generate and organize reports for authorized signatory approvals.
• Perform cost-price value analysis and implement cost reduction programs with existing suppliers and consignment stock.
• Purchase of consumables, equipment and spare parts etc. from local or overseas vendors.
• Establish and negotiate prices and contracts with suppliers for cost effective and good quality corporate goods and services.
• Liaise and follow up with suppliers for any discrepancies issue.
• Coordinate all import shipments from suppliers to headquarters and overseas branch offices.
• Ensure shipping document accuracy with suppliers and freight forwarders and comply with import rules and regulations.
• Ensure all documents are in proper order and submit promptly for accounting and audit purposes.
• Support logistics team for 3rd party out-sourcing activities.
• Must include colleague from same department in all correspondence such as email to keep them informed of all ongoing status.
• To be able to cover colleague from same department job if they are on leave/ absence without any issue.
• Update the status of all order in the shared folder, must be up to date at any time.
• Work as a team and consistently communicate with colleague on all matters.
• Dropship shipment from supplier directly deliver to customer, must inform Sales OP/ Logistics in advance to prepare delivery order.
• Any other tasks as assigned.

Requirement:
• With relevant 2 years purchasing working experience

[What you will be working on]

As an intern, you will be required to:

• Conduct on-site visits and document reviews to assess an incentive recipient’s compliance with incentives conditions.
• Prepare review reports documenting the assessment and findings. The intern is required to have strong attention to detail and good analytical skills to conduct thorough and accurate compliance assessments.
• Engage with key stakeholders, including the organization being reviewed, EDB account managers, and policy divisions.  The intern is required to have good communication and interpersonal skills to engage the stakeholders effectively.
• Manage multiple projects, demonstrate good problem-solving skills, and a results-oriented approach to deliver quality outcomes.
• Ensuring service delivery in accordance with pre-defined service level agreements, from planning, fieldwork and reporting.

• Undergraduate in the penultimate year pursuing a degree in Business Accounting or a related field.
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is essential.
• Availability for a 6-month internship from July/August 2024 onwards

[What you will be working on]

As our Intern, you will be required to/your deliverables are:

• Process payments to suppliers and reimbursement to staff involved in overseas operations.

• Monitoring accounts receivables, fixed assets, and bank accounts at overseas centres.

• Review, assess and provide recommendations for the assigned area within the overseas operations system and business process review project. For example, an Intern may be assigned to review the current process from procurement to payment for EDB overseas leases that fall under FRS116.

Learning outcomes and other experiences available to the intern as part of the internship:

• Gain insights into overseas operations procurement and finance management

• Gain familiarity with SAP Concur and Workday

• Gain experience with system and workflow re-design project and project management skills.
