Key Responsibilities

Supply Chain Management (SCM) is responsible for the overall commercial and risk management with the bank’s external third-party vendors. To meet increasing business demands, the SCM team is looking for a candidate with strong experience in sourcing / procurement with a specific expertise in aAuctions (with a preference for Reverse eAuctions), and the gravitas to engage stakeholders within business function to support key priorities. The successful candidate will be responsible driving the adoption of auctioning capabilities and influencing and executing sourcing activities through auctions in collaboration with the SCM Category Management capability as well as various business functions and related support teams and must be able to demonstrate excellence in driving favourable commercial outcomes. RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy

• Develop the eAuction capability within Supply Chain Management, including:
• Enhancing existing processes to embed eAuction Capability
• Integrate eAuction thinking into the SCM community
• Identify Priority Reverse Auction opportunities from in-flight Sourcing Engagements
• Drive the execution of eAuctions by supporting Global Category Management and embedding the approach into the Global Category Strategies.
• Liaise with the business functions leads to produce a needs assessment that is aligned to their business plans

Stakeholder Management

• Ensure the intrinsic business value of the eAuction approach is communicated and understood by the business functions and the SCM department.
• Provides guidance on the SCM eAuction process, system, and benefits.
• Assist stakeholders in achieving their strategic objectives through the deployment of eAuctioning.

Project Management

• Identifies and mitigates risks that would impact the overall success/failure of eAuctioning.
• Ensures eAuction supported sourcing projects are prioritized and delivered against agreed timelines
• Supports, leads and executes sourcing initiatives supported by eAuctioning.
• Implements regular category eAuction reviews with Global Category management leads, to ensure all stakeholder requests are being owned

Cross Functional Engagement

• Work in a highly effective Supply Chain Management (SCM) team that will deliver commercial agreements that exceed stakeholder and client expectation.
• Keeps open channels of communication to ensure high level of engagement
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives
• Engages functions and businesses in collaboration with Global Category Management to enhance awareness of the eAuction process.

Risk Management

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor/Master Degree with 5 years’ experience in Procurement
