Our client, an offshore marine services provider in oil and gas industry, is looking for a suitable candidate to join their team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain the purchasing systems (Nautical Solution and Xero) for all materials and services requisitions, and purchase orders
- Acquisition of vessel equipment, spare parts, hardware and consumables as per “Purchasing Requisition” details generated by vessel crew and onshore company personnel
- Procurement of specialty contractor services as per “Work Requisition” details generated by vessel crew and onshore company personnel
- Sourcing and identification of potential service providers
- Maintenance of service providers’ database
- Managing the relationship with a wide range of suppliers and external service providers
- Provide all necessary reports and communication to ships and operational personnel as required this includes both incoming and outgoing
- Liaise with operations management in relation to purchasing requests and keep them informed on technical details, price and availability
- Contribute to cost reduction by ensuring minimum delays in providing essential items
- Other duties as directed by the Purchasing Manager or General Manager Operations
Job Requirements:
- Qualification: Minimum Diploma
- Proficient in MS Office
- High volume data processing experience
- Minimum of 2 years working in a similar role in a multi companies’ environment
- Knowledge and exposure to the Oil and Gas Industry in particular the marine environment preferred
