The Red Hat Procurement team is looking for a Strategic Procurement Manager to join us in Singapore to support all indirect categories including Marketing, Corporate Services, Global Workplace Solutions, IT, and Travel. In this role, you will work closely with Red Hat’s leadership teams and engage with Red Hat stakeholders to develop procurement strategies, lead strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiate contracts, and manage key supplier relationships for Singapore. Your success will be measured against business metrics including savings, stakeholder satisfaction, contract management, and supplier management. As a Strategic Procurement Manager, you will report directly to the manager of Asia Pacific (APAC) procurement.
What you will do
- Support the development and implementation innovative and cost effective procurement strategies for an assigned category / categories;
- Partner with stakeholders and budget owners on appropriate spending strategies to drive strategic sourcing initiatives;
- Support RFx and supplier selection by driving competitive sourcing activities including supplier sourcing, bid analysis and evaluation and recommendation of business awards;
- Support the negotiation and execution of contract agreements with selected suppliers to ensure optimal terms and conditions;
- Build strategic relationships with preferred suppliers to deliver best value, cost savings, innovation and service level improvements through well-defined performance- based metrics;
- Review and analyze current spend and supplier base to identify opportunities for value enhancement by reducing overall cost and /or improving service delivery;
- Ensure governance and compliance through adherence with regulations, policies and best practices;
- Purchase Requisition reviews to ensure fair market valuation.
What you will bring
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, supply chain, or related field;
- Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills;
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
- Experience in building relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders and suppliers;
- Customer-service oriented with a team-player attitude; and
- Experience in supporting strategic sourcing initiatives and contract negotiation skills would be an advantage
