This is a contract role, will be converted to full-time depending on performance.

Responsibilities:

• Immediate processing of incoming purchase orders from vessels
• Send orders to appropriate suppliers for quotations
• Negotiate prices and follow up on orders with suppliers
• Assess incoming quotations and confirm supplier selection after approval by Superintendent/Technical Manager or higher authority
• Collaborate closely with warehouse and suppliers to ensure timely delivery
• Provide forwarding instructions to the supplier
• Keep vessels and Vessel Managers informed about deliveries
• Communicate with vessel’s port agents
• Handle custom clearance
• Arrange formal bookings for service and repairs based on the Vessel Manager’s practical arrangements
• Maintain and update the supplier database on various platforms

Job Requirements:

• Diploma holder in a related field/discipline
• Self-driven individual with at least 3 years of experience in the marine industry is a MUST
• Demonstrates initiative and ability to multi-task
• Resourceful with strong negotiation skills
• Tech-savvy, adaptable to working with ERP

Responsibility:

• Oversee the entire procurement cycle and manage daily procurement operations.
• Negotiate quotations, purchasing contracts, and maintain requisition records.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and identify efficiency improvements.
• Monitor and manage stock inventory, including generating purchase requisitions and orders.
• Lead annual stock inventory audits in collaboration with relevant teams.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree with a minimum of 2 years' experience in healthcare procurement.
• Knowledge of stock inventory management systems (e.g., SCMS) is advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills to secure favorable terms.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Duties of Procurement/ Sourcing Specialist:
