As the Retail Shop Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and ensuring the store's success. You will lead a team of Sales Associates and Part-time Sales Staff, driving sales, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a well- organized and attractive store environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership:
-Recruit, train, and supervise Sales Associates and Part-time Sales Staff.
-Set performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide coaching and support to improve team performance.
-Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork among staff.
2. Sales and Customer Service:
-Drive sales by setting targets, monitoring performance, and implementing sales strategies.
-Ensure exceptional customer service by training and guiding staff in providing a personalized and helpful shopping experience.
-Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback.
3. Store Operations:
-Manage inventory levels, including ordering and receiving merchandise.
-Oversee store displays and visual merchandising to maintain an appealing store layout.
-Ensure store cleanliness, safety, and compliance with all company policies and procedures
4. Financial Management:
-Monitor and control operational expenses to meet budget goals.
-Track and report on sales and other key performance metrics.
-Assist in setting pricing strategies and promotions.
5. Loss Prevention:
-Implement security measures to prevent theft and maintain store security.
-Train staff on loss prevention practices and handle security incidents as needed.
Qualifications:
-Proven experience in a retail management role, with a focus on clothing or babywear preferred.
-Strong leadership and team management skills.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Understanding of retail operations, inventory management, and visual merchandising.
-Proficiency in using retail management software and Microsoft Office.
