Job Description

• Industry/Organization Type: Manufacturing/Production
• Position Title: Buyer
• Working Location: Serangoon North
• Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8.30 am – 6 pm
• Salary Package: Up to $4,200 + VB
• Duration: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Source and purchase electronic components and mechanical parts that meet required specifications.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure better pricing, quantities, and delivery terms.
• Perform comparison of specifications and pricing and propose alternatives to engineers for approval.
• Issue Purchase Orders based on purchase requisitions.
• Follow up on outstanding orders and expedite urgent materials as needed.
• Collaborate with the Finance and Store departments to resolve discrepancies between delivery orders and invoices.
• Work with the Quality Control team to address suppliers' quality issues.
• Participate in the annual audit for ISO9001 & 14001 certifications.

• Minimum of a Diploma in Electronics Engineering, Procurement, or Supply Chain-related discipline.
• At least 2 years of purchasing experience in the electronics manufacturing industry (OEM).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with advanced Excel functions such as SUMPRODUCT, Conditional Formatting, Sort/Filter, VLOOKUP, and Pivot Tables.
• Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and sourcing skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Experience with machining/metal stamping parts will be considered an added advantage.
