Procurement Engineer

• Industry: Marine
• Remuneration: $2400 - $4200 (Depending on experience)
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday; 8.30am – 5.30pm
• Location: Tuas (2 Way Transport provided at Marsling and Jurong East MRT)
  Nearest MRT: Tuas Crescent

Job Responsibilities:

• Source new suppliers for materials and services, expanding the supplier base for current and future needs.
• Obtain competitive quotes and drive cost-reduction initiatives.
• Lead price negotiations to ensure cost competitiveness.
• Conduct supplier qualifications and add approved suppliers to the vendor list.
• Regularly review supplier performance to maintain quality and reliability.
• Maintain procurement SOPs for consistent workflows
• Collaborate with departments to ensure supply continuity with minimal inventory.
• Negotiate favorable supply agreements.
• Provide quotations to the Sales department for standard and custom products.
• Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineer will be preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Knowledge in components sourcing and fabrication parts will be advantageous
