Job Description:

• Assist to feed in crate at the depalletizer stations
• Inspect crate for damages and cleanliness
• Assist in the collection of crate from vansales at market return area

Responsibilities:

• Print purchase requisitions raised by assigned departments and material groups.
• Reviews purchase requisitions and clarify with the requestor about any discrepancy or incomplete information with regards to specification, quality, quantity and delivery requirements.
• Solicit offers by sending request for quotation (RFQ to as many potential vendors as possible and analyse the received quotations/offers)
• Recommends substitution where a cost saving or improved delivery will result.
• Selects the most competitive source and negotiate for the best deal.
• Seeks and obtains required approvals before releasing the order to the vendor.
• Expedites orders to ensure timely delivery of materials/equipment/system package.

Requirements:

• Diploma in an engineering discipline or business administration or equivalent
• 6 years of experience in procurement activities
• Experience in marine-related industries would be an added advantage
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment
• Good interpersonal skills
• Experience in International Trade Terms and Letter of Credits will be an added advantage
