Our client is the world’s largest independent aerospace distribution company. Currently, they are seeking for Operations Lead to perform a wide variety of general warehouse and material handling activities.

The Operations Lead provides daily leadership and support to a team of Operations Associates, under the direction of the Supervisor. Operations Leads are “hands-on” and perform a wide range of work to ensure the successful handling of goods passing through the warehouse. They are the “go-to person” for operational questions and replace the supervisor in their absence. In doing so, they ensure efficient handling of daily operations.

Operations Leads may rotate as needed to ensure that products and orders are processed accurately and efficiently. This will be at Inbound, Outbound and Inventory control. In performing these duties, he/she may be required to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, trolleys, pallet trucks, automated packing machines and other warehouse equipment to move products and parts. In the role you will be part of testing, training and ongoing projects.

JOB DIMENSION (SCOPE)

• Perform a wide variety of general warehouse and material handling activities towards for the overall goals of ensuring the successful receipt, coordination, and safety of goods coming through the warehouse and that orders arrive and are dispatched on time to the appropriate destinations, in the expected quantities
• May specialize in one or more department functions such as Inventory Control, Order Processing, or Transportation or may rotate as needed to ensure that products and orders are received, stocked, picked, packed, verified, labeled and shipped accurately and efficiently to meet customer and business needs
• May be required to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, stock picking machines, automated packaging machines, and other warehouse equipment to move products and parts.

• Position Title: Warehouse Assistant
• Working Hours: 5.5 days (Mon to Fri, 9 am – 6 pm; Sat 9 am – 1 pm)
• Duration: Permanent Role

Responsibilities:

• Perform order picking and packaging tasks accurately and efficiently
• Handle materials and products with care to prevent damage or loss
• Maintain inventory control by organizing and storing items in designated areas
• Assist in order fulfillment processes, including picking, packing, and shipping
• Monitor stock levels and perform stock replenishment activities
• Conduct regular stock checks to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations

Requirements:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Issuing, sending of PO via email and keep track of PO for procurement activities.
• Liaising with store to monitor stock inventories required by Operations Unit is in place to avoid any potential material shortage
• Liaising with plant for their requirements.
• Maintain an updated list of current and incoming inventory
• Liaising/correspondence with suppliers to schedule deliveries or to discuss shortages or missed deliveries
• Continuously sourcing of parts/materials as and when required
• Performing Goods received and updating of system
• Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other necessary data
• Co-ordinating with forwarder for preparing of documents/permit for incoming shipment clearance
• Continuously liaising with Sales and other departments for their new requirement of material/parts
• To negotiable and obtain best price quotes from suppliers based on various Purchase Requisition request within the company
• Deals with defective goods damaged goods as and when required
• Performing monthly stock take
