Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer with a strong background in the oil and gas sector, specifically in FPSO projects. The QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all quality assurance and quality control procedures are in place, adhered to, and continuously improved throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Management System (QMS):
   Develop, implement, and maintain the project-specific Quality Management System in alignment with ISO standards.
   Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and regulatory standards.
2. Project QA Oversight:
   Conduct regular quality audits, inspections, and surveillance activities on FPSO project sites.
   Identify and document non-conformances, and lead the resolution process to prevent recurrence.
   Ensure that all QA documentation is properly maintained and accessible.
3. Supplier and Vendor Quality Control:
   Review and approve vendor QA/QC documentation.
   Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance with project quality requirements.
   Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure that materials and equipment meet quality specifications.
4. Engineering & Fabrication Quality Assurance:
   Ensure that engineering designs, drawings, and specifications comply with quality requirements.
   Monitor fabrication and construction activities to ensure they are carried out according to approved procedures and quality standards.
5. Testing & Commissioning:
   Oversee testing and commissioning processes to ensure systems meet quality standards before handover.
   Verify that all test procedures and results are properly documented.
6. Risk Management:
   Identify potential quality risks and implement mitigating measures.
   Participate in risk assessments and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) meetings.
7. Training and Continuous Improvement:
   Provide training to project teams on quality processes and best practices.
   Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process optimization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a QA role within the oil and gas industry, with specific experience in FPSO projects.
• In-depth knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and industry standards.
• Strong understanding of fabrication, construction, and commissioning processes for FPSOs.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
• Certification in quality auditing (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate the suitability of new materials for product development in alignment with customer requirements.
• Ensure all incoming materials meet defined quality parameters.
• Preparing chemical formulations of new products.
• Conduct trial blends, assess results, and optimize formulations.
• Develop and evaluate product formulations based on test results and customer specifications.
• Ensure finished product test results comply with customer requirements.
• Maintain and develop quality assurance/control procedures to ensure product consistency and compliance.
• Oversee test method development, transfer, and validation to ensure reliable and accurate product testing.
• Provide technical support to the sales team, assisting with product knowledge and customer inquiries.

• 3 to 4 years’ related work experience testing, QA / QC and document control.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Internal and External Audits: Plan, execute, and report on external audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Testing: Ensures product testing incoming and finished product to established standards/procedures;
• Certify, File and control in-house and third party certificates very accurately.
• Filing of all certificates and paperwork both hard and soft copies.
• Maintain complete history of client products in use.
• Liaise with third party surveyors on testing and certifications wherever necessary.
• Review work procedures and method statements for compliance with good work practices.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations when carrying out inspections.

• Report daily to QNQC Coordinator/ Engineer and advise him on the client main contractor compliance to contract procedures and standards and any matters effecting quality
• Ensure documentation is clear, precise and accurate, and within the requirements of the applicable construction code and project specifications.
• Working knowledge of ASME SEC
• Perform visual inspection on welds for the following or as applicable
• Flag / identify any welds or items that require NDE to be completed, once completed, ensure this is documented, in case of any items that have had NDE completed and repairs are required
• Report and document internal & external Non-Conformances
• Perform field inspections and quality assurance of construction projects
• Provide daily construction reports and maintain up-to-date files of all construction documents
• Attend and participate in project meetings to keep Project Manager apprised of project progress, status, quality and schedule
• Identify and evaluate potential new observed hazards and implement controls as project's scope of work changes

• Support day-to-day Quality Assurance activities in accordance with approved

SOPs / Policies for a multi-product, cGxP contract manufacturing facility

• A good understanding of cGxPs and compliance in a GxP manufacturing

setting performing both supervised and unsupervised tasks

assignments

• Revise, review and approve SOPs, protocols, reports or records

Qualifications:
