Overview
We are seeking an exceptionally skilled Marketing Manager with deep expertise in managing and executing marketing campaigns on Douyin, Xiaohongshu (Red Book), and TikTok. This is a high-impact role that requires unparalleled understanding of the Chinese and global social media landscapes, consumer behavior, and innovative content strategies.
Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning & Execution:
• Develop and execute high-level marketing strategies tailored to Douyin, Xiaohongshu, and TikTok.
• Build and maintain brand presence in the Chinese-speaking markets, ensuring engagement with target audiences.
2. Content Creation & Campaign Management:
• Oversee the development of engaging, culturally relevant, and innovative content that resonates with users on these platforms.
• Manage and monitor ad campaigns, influencer partnerships, and viral content initiatives.
3. Analytics & Optimization:
• Analyze campaign performance, user engagement metrics, and social trends, leveraging data to optimize marketing efforts.
• Provide insights on emerging trends and consumer behavior on Douyin, Xiaohongshu, and TikTok.
4. Market Research:
• Continuously monitor the competitive landscape in Chinese-speaking and international markets.
• Identify new opportunities to expand market share and brand presence.
5. Team Collaboration:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including creative, product, and sales departments, to align marketing initiatives with overall business goals.
• Manage external vendors and influencers to execute campaigns effectively.
Qualifications
1. Education:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a globally recognized university.
2. Experience:
• Minimum 5+ years of proven experience in managing large-scale marketing campaigns on Douyin, Xiaohongshu, and TikTok.
• Track record of achieving viral success and driving substantial ROI through social media campaigns.
• Prior experience working in the Chinese market with an emphasis on consumer products or technology sectors.
3. Skills:
• Native proficiency in Mandarin and English (written and spoken).
• Exceptional expertise in content creation, SEO/SEM for social platforms, and data analytics tools (e.g., Douyin Analytics, Xiaohongshu Dashboard, TikTok Creator Marketplace).
• Strong knowledge of Chinese e-commerce ecosystems (e.g., Taobao, JD.com) and their integration with social media platforms.
4. Network:
• Established connections with top influencers and KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders) on Douyin, Xiaohongshu, and TikTok.
5. Personal Attributes:
• Exceptional creative vision, attention to detail, and ability to anticipate trends.
• Must have lived and worked in China for a minimum of 5 years, with in-depth cultural and market understanding.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Other Requirements
• Must be highly fluent in Mandarin and capable of navigating social platforms’ interfaces in Chinese.
• Prior experience with cross-border marketing and navigating Chinese regulatory frameworks is a plus.
• Candidates without experience in the Chinese market or the above-mentioned platforms will not be considered.
