A TYPICAL DAY

My day starts at 8am, although like my colleagues, I often arrive earlier to get set up for the day. I am teaching 4 out of a possible 5, 60 minute lessons today across different year groups. The school really supports me in thinking outside the box to creatively develop new and exciting learning opportunities in different learning environments. As it is the start of the year, I am really working hard to learn all the names, make a connection with every learner and build learning-focused relationships. At lunchtime I have a duty in the cafeteria and talk to the learners about their day. The teaching day finishes at 3.25pm and today I am running an after-school activity with technical lego in the Makerspace as this is a passion of mine! After I return the learners to the cafeteria to be picked up, I head back to my learning area to collaborate on some planning, complete some marking and check my emails. I am looking forward to the forthcoming Learning trip and will pop to the nearby shops on the way home to get some equipment ready for the trip.

• Minimum Diploma in Information Technology / Electronic / Electrical Engineering / Quality Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 - 5 years professional experience in Software / Firmware testing.
• Must have experience in Software test design and methodology, and automated testing (Desktop / Web application).
• Good written and verbal communication, collaboration and social skills.
• Additional skills would be an advantage: Barcode printer programming language (SATO / Zebra / Datamax / Intermec), Test application development (C / C++ / .NET application).
