Position Overview:

The Principal Electronics Engineer is a senior leadership role within EOS Defence Systems (EOS DS) and is responsible for solving problems using disciplined engineering techniques (e.g., software, mechanical, electronics, system, testing, project etc) to assure and advise on the development and/or delivery of products. The Rapid Response Damage Assessment (RRDA) program is seeking an Engineer or a Senior Engineer to assist with the modeling and analysis of vessel stability and hull strength for ships and offshore floating structures and verify their compliance with applicable Rules and Regulations.

· The RRDA program provides 24/7 technical assistance to ship and offshore floating structure related emergencies such as grounding and collision. When activated, RRDA is an extension of the vessel management team’s own response capability, focusing on the measure of changes occurring to hull strength, stability and the extent to which risk of pollution can be mitigated. This new position is expected to work along with a group of experienced engineers to respond to client service requests when emergencies occur or participate in routine vessel emergency response drills.

The RRDA work by nature of its complexity and difficulty require the fully competent application of conventional knowledge in a particular field of engineering or science. Through broader and more technically challenging work assignments, the ideal candidate will develop a thorough understanding of policies, methods and procedures.
