Our SRE engineers combine software and systems engineering disciplines to run high-performance, large-scale distributed infrastructure. This means you will be deeply involved in the developmental lifecycle of critical software services, collaborating closely with product engineers to combine software code and systems knowledge to ensure that TikTok e-Commerce's services are reliable, fault-tolerant, efficiently scalable and cost-effective. You will also be leveraging your software engineering expertise to develop software platforms and tools to optimise the operational and engineering efficiencies of complex systems at scale, with particular focus on improving the systems' observability, performance and maintainability.

Responsibilities

- Be responsible for service levels of mission critical, revenue-generating e-Commerce platform as well as all supporting infrastructure and services. This role will focus on service reliability, highly-scalable design, and release management in a cloud-native environment.

- Define service level indicators and data-driven objectives, and develop SRE standards, processes and methodologies, to uphold and improve uptime, latency, and system health of a core global e-commerce production platform.

- Collaborate cross-team with engineering and product to ensure that key stability and maintainability requirements, such as capacity planning and launch reviews, are performed to enable transparent service delivery to customers.

- Design strategies for risk detection and mitigation, disaster recovery & simulation, release management, cost optimisation, engineering quality etc.

- Automation geared towards infrastructure-as-code, scalability and service resiliency.

- Implement best practices around incident management, post-mortems while being part of on-call rotations.

- Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialised utility programs.

- Analyse user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.

- Update software, enhances existing software capabilities, and develops and direct software testing and validation procedures.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Programming & System Analysis, Science (Computer Studies) or related discipline.

- Candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in Linux operating system internals, networking and microservices in cloud-native environments.

- Experience in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.

- Experience developing platform/tools using scripting languages such as Python/Bash.

- Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with effective communication skills and a sense of drive.

- Experience with running production-grade web services at scale in a cloud native environment.

- Experience with implementing observability solutions such as monitoring, logging and tracing in complex service meshes.

• Handle the Precast Concrete Production in the factory.
• Understand the design drawings and production drawings and conduct quality check.
• Liaise with all the relevant parties for production and inspection of the factory.
• Manage the Suppliers and Contractors to rectify if there are any defects prior to delivery to site.

Team introduction:

The TikTok Engineering Test Team focuses on testing and delivering innovative, high-quality product features of the TikTok as well as protecting user data. Our Mission is to facilitate the release of TikTok features and enhancements from the development to production stage through effective testing, delivering quality at speed.

As a Test Engineer on our team, you will:

1. Continuously design and conduct penetration testing to determine if infrastructure components, systems and applications meet confidentiality, integrity, authentication, availability, authorisation, and nonrepudiation standards in the staging/production environment.

2. Translate requirements into test plan, write and execute test scripts or codes in line with standards and procedures to determine vulnerability to attacks.

3. Certify infrastructure components, systems and applications that meet security standards.

4. To identify risks and actively take ownership to resolve any potential project issues.

5. Conduct technical security reviews for any new products and feature requirements.

6. Provide security engineering support to product teams to help identify potential security flaws in the early stages of SDLC.

7. Collaborate closely with other parts of the security team and product teams to design defense-in-depth controls that limit attackers' ability and improve our security postures.

8. Continuously conduct security research and strive to innovate.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

1. BS/MS degree in a relevant field: Computer Engineering or EE;

2. Testing experience, within mobile application and/or backend service application;

3. Have distributed application and iOS/Android fundamental knowledge;

4. The experience of performance testing tools, iOS/Android automation, and/or test platform development;

5. Excellent problems solving skills, ability to coordinate with different global teams;

6. Strong passion for mobile internet and building next generation mobile application, can take full responsibility for service end to end quality assurance.

Preferred Qualifications:
