Responsibilities

• Liaise with client/contractor/sub-contractors on project related matters to ensure to smooth execution of site work.
• Liaise with suppliers and sub-subcontractors for arrangement of materials, equipment, tools and other sub-contracting work activities
• Ensure the installation works are done according to approved shop drawings, method statements, Project Quality Plan, Project Specifications and relevant standards
• Assist Site / Project Manager in handling and monitoring the project progress
• Involve in conceptual and detailed design of electrical / instrumentation engineering works
• Ensure that only current version of documents (contract specifications, electrical and instrumentation drawings, materials submittal, method statement and risk assessment) are accessible at the point of use
• Review and checking of technical vendor submittals for installation requirements
• Attend regular site meetings with client/contractors/sub-contractors on project related matters
• Prepare and submit site progress report and necessary project documents which may include progress claim, variation order, method statement, risk assessment and inspection request
• Review the nature of non-conformities detected in product / work and determine the disposition of the non -conformities
• Conduct site survey, update and advise the site status
• Assist in validation (certification) of subcontractor progress claim
• Resolve technical issues related to installation, commissioning and testing
• Assist in tender administration work, if require
• Assist in timely hand-over (delivery) of project, within budget while maintaining high quality standard at optimum cost (cost effectiveness)
• Prepare project Quality Plan if require
• Prepare the bill of material and keep it updated regularly
• Raise the purchase requisition for the material and services required at project site
• Follow up with suppliers and timely delivery of material in line with project schedule.
• Keep the records of marked up drawings for as built documentation throughout the project
• Keep the records of material received from supplier and issued for installation

Qualifications and Work Experience

• Diploma or ITE graduated in relevant engineering and minimum 2 years of relevant working experience or
• GCE ‘O” or Nitec holders in relevant engineering and minimum 3 years of relevant working experience
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations
• Capable of reading electrical drawings and schematics
• Good interpersonal, planning, analytical and problem-solving skill
• Able to work independently
• Knowledge in BIM / AutoCAD skills will be an advantage
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Good Microsoft office knowledge and skills

The computer vision / image processing engineer is responsible for developing and implementing algorithms and software tools to process and analyse images for various object detection applications from multiple real-time mission-critical image sources, such as electro-optical, thermal imaging sensors and other sensors.

The job scope includes:

• Research various imaging systems and validate them.
• Using optical metrology techniques, calculate and calibrate cameras for outdoor real-time mission-critical applications
• Designing and testing image processing systems and components, such as filters, edge detectors, feature extractors, classifiers, etc
• Optimising the performance and accuracy of image processing algorithms using techniques such as parallel computing, machine learning, deep learning, etc
• Collaborating with other data scientists, engineers, researchers, and clients to understand the requirements and specifications of image-processing projects
• Document and present the results and findings of image processing experiments and analyses

Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, physics, mathematics or a related field
• Experience in image processing and/or computer vision, preferably outdoor systems
• Deep understanding of the imaging systems' sensor characteristics, optical metrology techniques and image signal processing
• Hands-on experience in the image processing pipeline. (Zoom and focus, auto white balance, camera colour conversion, colour space and colour management, etc.)
• Expertise in identifying diverse colour issues within intricate ISP systems and in precision tuning of parameters to achieve optimal image quality
• Knowledge of mathematical modelling, statistical analysis and image processing techniques. (Kalman filtering etc.)
• Proficiency in Python, C++, MATLAB or other programming languages
• Familiarity with popular frameworks and libraries for image processing and machine learning, such as OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-image or PIL
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

To assist the Project Manager/ Site Manager and ensure that the site activities are executed in accordance with time schedules

- Supervise and coordinate day to day site works, safety and quality control

- Monitor & coordinate the site works, materials, plant & equipment with site supervisors

- Coordinate with the Sub contractor / MainCon / Consultant / Client for whatever revision on drawings & in actual construction & submit weekly site works progress report.

- Assist in planning, programming and monitoring of construction works progress

- To study tender / construction drawings, specifications and contracts to understand project requirements

- Check drawings and raise technical queries to resolve the discrepancies in between drawings and as well as those arisen during the project execution

- To ensure structural work & architectural work done according to the drawing

- To carry out short-term planning to meet site progress and involve in client/consultant/sub-contractor meetings

- Manage and ensure timely completion of construction/ civil works

- Identify and assess any foreseeable risk arising from the workplace or work

processes, minimise environmental impact associated with the construction activities

- Take reasonable practical measures to eliminate any foreseeable risk to any person who is at the workplace

- Ensure safe work procedures and environmental control measures are implemented at the work site and quality records are properly maintained
