Job Summary

The Injection Molding Process Engineer is a "hands-on" position that plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing equipment and processes to produce high quality injection molded product. The Process Engineer is responsible for coordinating the molding efforts on new program launches, setting up and/or revising manufacturing processes and assisting the manufacturing operations in problem solving and continuous process improvements. While monitoring the effectiveness of processes this individual quantifies results, documents and presents findings to management and prepares reports.
This position also mentors and provides training to other injection molding personnel.

Job Description

1. Oversee molding production operations to meet requirements of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People (SQDCP).
2. Develop a robust Molding process by applying Scientific / Decoupled Molding techniques along with Design of Experiments (DOEs).
3. Implement and evaluate changes to existing processes designed to improve product quality, productivity and overall equipment efficiency (OEE).
4. Develop and maintain process documentation ensuring that processes and procedures are clearly stated and understandable for all employees. use Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other techniques to analyze process data to determine capabilities as well as improvement on OEE
5. Implement technical solutions including statistical methodology in continuous improvement to meet customer cost, quality, and delivery expectations.
6. Demonstrated ability to start-up, operate and shut down process related equipment. Must be able to work independently on new process development as well as troubleshooting current production issues and program robots and peripheral equipment
7. Work with equipment and material vendors to resolve machine and material issues.
8. Monitor and report issues with injection molds, make recommendations for refurbishment based on production factors such as cycles, process capability and tooling history.
9. Interact with customers to resolve issues and provide new project updates.

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide technical support for issues escalated by in-country field service teams and to ensure timely solutions for customer and FSE inquiries. Additionally, the role involves providing on-site technical support within the EA region. This individual will be responsible for providing Level 2 support, remote guidance, developing and enhancing the technical expertise of field service engineers for our PQ equipment, supporting daily operations and service business needs.

He will take the lead, in collaboration with the factory R&D team, in building a competent field services team and improving the overall customer experience. A. Leads the execution of escalation procedures through phone calls and emails, including after-hours support for escalations. Escalations primarily refer to post-sales technical support, covering UPS hardware, firmware, batteries, and other power-related equipment. All documentation is published on SharePoint, Eaton Technical Web, or via Service Bulletins.

B. Assists in providing information on 1 Phase and 3 Phase systems in the EA region by tracking reported cases, product issues, and resolutions, including unresolved issues.

C. Identifies opportunities to improve field procedures and provides feedback or corrections on relevant service manual content.

D. Supports all countries in the EA region by reviewing service procedures, including start-up/rework readiness, execution, and knowledge transfer for issues and resolutions encountered during a specified production period.

E. Serves as the point of escalation for 3 Phase Technical Support in the EA region, responding to emergency calls or emails.

F. Develops and coordinates site testing plans for escalated issues to determine root causes.
