- Provides coordination of construction of the project t pertaining to the utilities.

- Ensure the project needs are met without compromising the reliability of the utility system

- Ensure all utility documents are properly submitted and filed

- Conduct routine site inspections to ensure adherence to relocation plan

- Review project documentation from consultant for compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, guidelines and policies

- Schedules and attends all necessary and related pre-construction conferences for utility relocations

- Reviews utility relocation plans as compared to project construction plans to identify and correct potential utility conflicts prior to construction

- Coordinate with engineering and design consultants in order to find the best solution cost-frame time

- Liaise with construction manager to ensure that the utility work supports construction sequencing and respective deadlines are met and on schedule

- Resolve site inquiries, attending site meetings and performing site inspections during construction

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:

- Minimum Diploma/ Degree in Engineering technology

EXPERIENCE / SKILL REQUIRED

- Must have at least 5 years of engineering working experience in the relevant field (ideally with LTA projects)

- With 2 years experience in the Coordination with utility agencies for similar projects

- Good interpersonal and communication skills and able to interact with people of all levels

- Experience with utility design or utility construction activities (gas, water, sewer, telecom)

- Experience in coordinating and scheduling installation of utilities

Conduct primary technical reviews of the contractors work and ensure approvals are obtained where relevant

Evaluate and advise on electrical related design changes and non-conformances to ensure fulfilment of the requirements

Identify new business opportunities and have involvement in bids/tenders etc

Provides guidance and direction on department design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes and policies

Independently applies knowledge and complies with quality program relative to assigned tasks

Oversees collection, assimilation, and management of data for engineering work

May offer other services to the clients

Provide electrical engineering and technical expertise to ensure the safe and reliable operation of electric power systems in processing facilities worldwide

Originate plans and develop strategies for power systems worldwide to ensure electrical reliability and safety in the most cost effective manner

Participate in engineering design through all phases of the process

Preparation or supervision of drawings for plant general arrangements, power single line diagrams, cable block diagrams, instrumentation loop diagrams, P&IDs, control system architecture drawings, and cable, instrument and I/O schedules at detailed design level.

Some electrical design will also be required for integration and system development of electro-mechanical systems

Assist in design and documentation of vehicle electrical architecture

Develop Project Timelines in support of Program milestones

Development and Release of Engineering Component and Assembly Drawings

Resolve Test Issues and Document Through the use of the PDCA Process

Test and certification report generation

Provides electrical engineering and project management expertise in support of projects, to ensure stated quality, operational, safety, schedule and budget objectives are met

Provide training to electricians on safety

Ensure complete and current electrical prints for all machines

Maintain documentation for all electrical components used

Organize documentation and electrical prints

Design Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA) using Altium Designer for Schematic, and layout

A working knowledge of cost estimating, code review, field investigation, report and memo writing and other similar electrical engineering related tasks

Power distribution, essential power systems including generators and UPS, Substations, transformers, metering, primary and secondary switchgear, motor control and motor control centers Life Safety including Fire Alarm system design

Prepare reports, proposals, and tender/bid submissions, budgets, project plans and other supporting documentation as required

Develop standards related to our electrical engineering practice, ensuring best practices for project delivery, and when applicable sustainable building constructions

Ensures design, fabrication, maintenance and repair methods/processes are developed executed in a manner, which supports all quality standards

Develops, designs low voltage (600V) and medium voltage (15kV) and high voltage (115kV) electrical distribution systems for building, industrial and utility facilities

Performs electrical system design for switchgear, switchboards, motor control centers, variable frequency drives, generators, transformers, distribution panels and various raceway systems

Designs underground medium voltage distribution systems and sizes electrical low voltage (600V) and medium voltage (15kV) and high voltage (115kV) equipment

Serves as the Engineer of Record for drawings, specifications and reports prepared under their direction

Performs field investigations, field inspections and witnesses start-up/acceptance testing activities

Works effectively in a collaborative environment with Architects, Mechanical Engineers, Civil Engineers and Structural Engineers on large multi-discipline projects

Coordinates with Mechanical, Fire, Architecture, Structural and Civil disciplines for comprehensive building design or modification.

Provide instruction on electrical drawing and using AutoCAD electrical

Work with PCB Fabrications houses to develop the stack-ups, dieletric materials, routing guidelines, and any Design For Manufacturing (DFM) suggestions

Write AFCEs

Determine project specifications

Compare equipment and select manufacturer

Work with on-shift maintenance personnel to find and fix problems on down equipment

Engineer solution to fix root cause and prevent recurring failures

Create and conduct training, if required, to prevent future downtime

Responsible for designing, testing, supporting, and troubleshooting components of low-voltage and medium-voltage electrical systems operating up to several megawatts

Develop system-level and/or physics-based models of components and devices in support of new technology development, project engineering, and test & evaluation

Develop and/or improve the test methods and procedures

Write test procedures and technical papers

Responsible for the design, analysis, and testing of advanced power electronic systems for both military and commercial applications

Will lead and direct small technical teams (engineers, designers and technicians) in solving complex problems

Responsible for writing requirements, specifications, and design reports

Act as an expert and advisor in power electronics engineering and electrical engineering area

Advises and directs the activities of assigned programs and/or projects to achieve technical objectives

Responsible for digital and analog design with power electronics emphasis and must be able to do system level design and analysis

Requirement:

Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Knowledge of international codes & standards IEC, ANSI / IEEE

Significant experience in the power generation industry strongly desired

Prepare Electrical Engineering deliverables such as calculations, equipment specifications, datasheet

Working knowledge of “AutoCAD” or equivalent CAD system, MS Project, and MS Office

Track record of launching high volume electronics products, especially low power platforms

Knowledge of the PCB design process and tools experience with Cadence or Altium products

Proficiency with EE lab instruments and their use in verification and troubleshooting

Experience with ODM, JDM, or CM models of product development

Accountabilities:

• Understand the customer’s network structure and become familiar with the Customer’s network implementation and support processes and procedures to ensure supporting a network with proper SLAs.
• Carry out migrations of existing setup, features, and configuration as required by the customer in a production/testing environment and help improve plans to implement new features to increase the network stability or user requirements.
• Perform IOS upgrades and patches to fix software and ensure that the environment is bug/vulnerable free by keeping system with up to date software.
• Troubleshoot production issues and network problems to fix any user related issues and work with principal vendors and customer to provide the resolution with in the proposed timelines.
• Raise equipment Return Material Authorizations (RMA’s) and to track till problem resolution and produce incident report for any severity issues that was reported by customers or end users.
• Be available for customers’ questions in assisting their needs to support network related issues and monitor customer network leveraging appropriate monitoring tools as well for special scheduled activities performed during non-business hours or public holidays due to system upgrades.
• Perform the wireless testing across customer’s different locations and identifying or fixing if there are any performance issues or slowness in network for wireless users.
• Identify the principal vendor best practices and only perform changes with customer approval to improve the security levels.
• Co-ordinate between his/her own Global Network Centre for any escalations or major issues and bridge between customer / senior resources / vendor / etc

The Individual and their Experience:

• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experiences in network operations including wireless technologies.
• Hands on experience in fixing user issues in production environment is essential
• CCNA certified plus any other networking certifications preferred
• Basic understanding about Routing / switching protocols.
• In-depth knowledge on Stacking / L2 technologies / STP / IP Addressing.
• Proficient at performing local / remote IOS upgrades on different products and RMAs for faulty devices in production
• Good understanding about different monitoring tools like Cisco PI / PRTG / Spectrum / Syslog / etc and TCP/IP structure and IP scheme
• Strong knowledge on Wireless / ARP / MAC / L2 loops / Switching.
• Understand DNS / DHCP / Security knowledge is an added advantage.
• Eagerness and willingness to pick up & adapt new technologies and automation.
