Key Responsibilities:
· Install and mount equipment in data center racks, including servers, network switches, routers, and firewalls.
· Replace components in existing equipment, such as server motherboards, GPUs, CPUs, RAM, HDD/SSDs, network line cards/modules, transceivers, and cables.
· Perform fiber optic and Ethernet cable patching within racks, ensuring all connections are correctly made to designated ports and interfaces.
· Prepare servers for operation, including operating system installation, basic network and firewall configuration, and application deployment.
· Conduct operational and maintenance tasks such as cable testing, equipment power cycling, and setting up console interfaces for remote access.
· Troubleshoot issues using tools and techniques like ping, traceroute, hardware diagnostics, and generating hardware logs for escalation to vendors.
· Manage site inventory, ensuring all assets are accurately tracked and recorded.
Qualifications and Skills:
· A minimum of one year of hands-on experience in a data center environment.
· Prior experience in building or maintaining data center network systems is highly desirable.
· Strong understanding of computer networks, including familiarity with equipment from leading manufacturers such as switches, routers, and firewalls.
· Basic knowledge of operating systems, particularly Linux.
· Fundamental understanding of hardware, including servers, switches, KVMs, hard drives, and memory components.
· Excellent communication and coordination skills, with a strong sense of responsibility, dedication, problem-solving capabilities, and organizational planning.
Language Requirements:
· Fluency in English is mandatory, and Mandarin is a plus.
