• Identify and recommend training programs including cross training of piping staff within the team in collaboration with the Department Manager.

• Prepare lesson learned upon completion of the project and recommend preventive actions to avoid recurrence on future projects to Piping Design Supervisor.

• Perform other tasks that may be assigned by the Department Manager.

• Carry out engineering support work during the construction phase of the project.

The Requirements:

• Degree of any four years BS Engineering course, preferably Mechanical Engineering or least 15 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• At least 12 years in the field of piping design involving detailed design, stress evaluation, production work, 3D model review, and construction engineering support, and 5 years of which in a supervisory capacity.

• Good knowledge of AutoCAD.

• Basic knowledge of 3D Model review through Navisworks or SPR Software.

• Interpretation of stress/vibration analysis report.

• Able to read, analyze, and interpret common technical information, contracts reports and instructions.

• Able to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients and ability to write effective minutes of meeting and other related business communications.

• Strong leadership qualities and analytical and reasoning abilities.

• Good interpersonal and communication.

A Lead Automation/Systems Engineer at RoviSys will serve as a software or hardware lead on projects, as well as possess the ability to understand functional specifications and/or design specifications and translate that knowledge in the implementation of control systems. A lead engineer will be expected to develop skills required to successfully implement an entire project from both a control system software and hardware standpoint. A Lead Engineer will act as a mentor to Engineers and support training plans for Engineers.

Description of work:

• Consult with clients on digital transformation strategies within their facilities.
• Work in a team environment with engineers and designers from RoviSys, partners and clients to provide state of the art Control system to improve efficiency, product quality and profitability of process manufacturing.
• Design Electrical panels, Control Architecture and wiring drawings.
• Development of P&ID documentation for process clients.
• Define and implement programmable logic controller (PLC)/ladder design, distributed control system (DCS) configuration to meet client needs.
• Testing and on-site commissioning of control systems.
• Support of process control clients at sites in Singapore and aboard.
• Will lead team of engineers and technicians to provide control system solutions for clients.
• Will have opportunities to manage small-scale project of 1-3 people.

Control Systems Knowledge:

• Industry 4.0 applications.
• Electrical design and Process Control fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Controllers, such as single loop control, PLC, DCS or PC based control.
• IOT devices, communications protocols and connectivity.
• Exposure to Control Theory and some process understanding is helpful but not required.
