Research Fellow position is open in the research group of Assistant Professor Zhao Lin, at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS).

The Research Fellow will work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) on theories and applications of learning-based control. The project will investigate and develop both deep reinforcement learning algorithms and conventional robust adaptive control methods, to develop safety-critical learning-based control algorithms that leverage the advantages of both model-based and model-free methods. In particular, the developed algorithms will be demonstrated through robust control of drones.

The initial appointment duration is 12 months, which can then be extended based on an evaluation at the end of the initial appointment.

The candidates will be responsible for conducting theoretical research and algorithm development. The candidates are expected to help the PI supervise junior PhD students as well.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, Procurement and Project groups to review the scope of work in terms of deliverables to be submitted to the client, to finalize schedules to be met, and utilize resources required as percontract.
• Perform schedule monitoring and updating of project schedule, preparation of periodic Progress Reports with commitments & forecasts. Propose corrective actions and follow-up.
• Prepare various Weekly/Monthly Progress Reports.
• Analyse Subcontractor’s progress report, identify and highlight schedule deviations and delay.

Education Qualifications and other Requirements

• Degree with extensive Project Control experience on major projects working in a contractor environment is preferable.
• Excellence in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project and Primavera version 6 (and above) application is a must.
• Minimum 6 to 7 years planning & scheduling in EPC sector is a must.
• Familiar with standard software programs, developing S-Curve Schedule, bar-charts and manpower histogram is a must.

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer specializing in the design, configuration, and troubleshooting of electrical control panels. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring all control systems are designed and maintained in compliance with industry standards and project requirements.Should be avaliable 24/7.Should able to work overseas. Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Drafting: Develop detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings using AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software. Ensure adherence to applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC).
• Component Selection and Sizing: Calculate and size electrical components such as circuit breakers (CB), relays, contactors, and cables. Specify and integrate control devices like PLCs, VSDs, VFDs, HMI panels, and temperature controllers.
• Control Panel Assembly: Oversee the assembly, wiring, and testing of control panels, ensuring accuracy and quality. Work closely with technicians to provide guidance and address any assembly issues.
• Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve electrical and control system issues in a timely manner. Implement corrective actions and preventive maintenance strategies for control systems.
• Programming and Integration: Develop and modify PLC and SCADA programs for control system applications. Ensure seamless integration of control systems with other automation and instrumentation devices.
• Testing and Commissioning: Perform functional testing and validation of control panels and systems. Commission control panels on-site, including configuring and calibrating field devices and instrumentation.
• Project Management: Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project objectives are met. Prepare technical reports, documentation, and user manuals for control systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Maintain standards and quality processes in food manufacturing operations;

• Conduct daily in-process quality control inspections at production lines to ensure alignment with internal requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices
