· Design and develop forms, work instructions and methods for testing and evaluation.

· Utilizing knowledge in engineering fields for chemical and product quality inspection.

· Ensure lab equipment/instrument calibration and maintenance are maintained as planned.

· Trend and feedback of monitoring data to relevant sections and drive for investigation and action as necessary.

· Chemical Analysis of products using ICP, X-ray diffractometer, HPLC, FTIR, particle size analyser, UV, Endotoxin test and chloride, sulfate, carbonate limit test.

· Carry out TOC, Endotoxin test, and environmental monitoring tests.

· Carry out maintenance and calibration of equipment. Maintain accurate inspection, maintenance, and calibration of records.

· Perform investigation when the test is out-of-spec or abnormal.

· Prepare validation documents and carry out the qualification of equipment etc.

· Cross function collaboration to achieve compliance with quality requirements, improvements, development and implementation of new products /processes, supporting customer complaints, etc.

· Process explanation and audit support in customer audit

· Corrective and preventive action (CAPA) support

· Perform all other duties assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Education:

Diploma in a scientific discipline or possess equivalent experience or higher.

Experience:

· Five years’ experience in a medical device or pharmaceutical laboratory environment

· Have experience with lab equipment such as HPLC, ICP, FT-IR, UV Spectrometer and environmental monitoring sample testing.

· Familiar with ISO 9001:2015 requirements.

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

Working Conditions:

Work is generally performed within an indoor laboratory environment with adequate temperature. Personal protective equipment (PPE), such as a Laboratory coat, Safety shoes, Appropriate gloves, hearing protection, Respiratory Protection etc., will be required for potential exposure to hazardous chemicals and noise hazards.

The Quality Control Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring the quality of products and processes by performing various administrative and inspection tasks. This position requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Administrative Tasks

1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality records, files, and databases.

2. Assist in document control, including revising and distributing quality procedures and policies.

Inspection and Testing

1. Conduct visual inspections of products, materials, and packaging.

2. Verify simple product conformity to specifications, drawings, and standards.

3. Perform sampling inspections and testing as required.

4. Document inspection results, nonconformities, and corrective actions.

Quality Control Processes

1. Identify and report quality issues, defects, or nonconformities.

Communication and Collaboration

1. Liaise with production, procurement, and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.

2. Communicate quality requirements and standards to suppliers and vendors.

REQUIREMENTS

Education level:

1. Min. Higher Nitec/Diploma level ME/Mechatronic or it relevant.

Experience level:

1. 1-2 years of experience in quality control, inspection, or related field.

2. Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or medical device industries preferred.

Skills:

1. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

2. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

3. Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).

4. Proficient in MS Office.

Certifications:

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

1. Lead and support QC team for daily QC activities by ensuring timely analysis, documentation, and review of RM/PM/FP/IPC/Stability and Process validation samples as per predefined standards.

1. Write and / or review controlled documentation related to laboratory operations or testing such as SOP's, analytical protocols, analysis reports, forms and validation documents.
2. Ensure compliance with FDA/USP/EP/ICH/ChP regulations and internal controlled procedures in the QC Laboratory.
3. Ensure readiness of QC Laboratory in internal / external audits.
4. Maintain data integrity in Quality Control activities and ensure appropriate traceability.

6. Initiate change control documents.

1. Lead and participate in stability program, method validations, technical transfer, method transfer and validation / qualification activities at the site.
2. Participate in New Product Introduction activities.

9. Lead and participate in laboratory investigations. Document laboratory investigation activities or review and approve laboratory investigation reports.

1. Participate in site corrective action / preventive action (CAPA) program. Ensure timely completion of all commitments made under QMS.
2. Lead and participate in key performance indicators for improving laboratory efficiency, monitoring equipment performance.
3. Lead QC Department training program by imparting training to new staff and comply with Analyst Qualification procedure.
4. Escalate the quality events, trends as appropriate to QC Head.
5. Remain abreast of current regulatory, pharmacopeia and cGMP trends.
6. Serve as subject matter expert on laboratory instrumentation and compliance issues.
7. Lead the QC team, evaluate competencies, assign responsibilities, monitor performance, counsel and provide guidance. Plan & monitor the training and development requirements, motivate staff appropriately to build a committed, motivated & competent team.
8. Participate in personnel decisions (interviewing, hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, termination, staff development, improvement plans) regarding subordinate staff.
9. Maintains a safe laboratory environment by implementing recommendations made by EHS.
10. Initiate CAPEX for equipment purchases.

20. Support in budget preparation for QC Laboratory.

21. Any other activities as and when assigned by the Superior.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

· EDUCATION: Degree in science or related discipline (e.g. Chemistry, Chemical Engineering).

· EXPERIENCE: Minimum 8 years of quality control experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing industry and minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in managing team.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

• Possess working knowledge of GMP in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills, good verbal, and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of qualification, calibration, and operation of laboratory equipment such as HPLC, GC, FTIR and Dissolution equipment.
• Working knowledge of method development, validation, verification of analytical method.
• Familiarity of 21 CFR Part 11 requirements.
