The Opportunity

• Conduct inspections of both existing and new build façade and Diagnose problems on completed buildings and inspect repair works.
• Prepare comprehensive site inspection reports.
• Witness tests such as visual mock-ups, waterproofing, glass strengthening, and performance prototypes.
• Review Sub-Contractor design for compliance and quality.
• Attend technical and progress meetings on-site. Including visits to supplier's factories, both locally and overseas.
• Support the firm's compliance in maintaining ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 14001 requirements.

Is this role right for you?

• Polytechnic diploma in buildings or related field with relevant experience in façade and construction.
• Rope access trained with IRATA certification is preferred. Those without relevant certification can be sent for training.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant certifications in façade inspection from BCA is a plus.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Manager to lead our quality assurance efforts for the production of state-of-the-art nanoparticle synthesis equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in engineering or a related field, coupled with a deep understanding of quality management principles and practices. This role requires a hands-on approach, involving direct participation in assembly, calibration, and quality assurance processes.

Responsibilities

Quality Management System:

• Develop, implement, and maintain a robust quality management system (QMS) aligned with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Oversee the documentation and control of quality records, procedures, and work2020 instructions.
• Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance with QMS requirements and identify areas for improvement.

Quality Assurance

• Lead inspections, tests, and verifications of products and processes.
• Collaborate to ensure product designs and manufacturing processes meet quality standards.
• Analyze quality data to identify trends, root causes of defects, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.

Hands-on Involvement:

• Actively participate in the assembly, calibration, and testing of nanoparticle synthesis equipment and systems.
• Conduct detailed inspections and functional tests to ensure product quality and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise during production or testing.
• Implement 5S for continuous improvement of work quality across production and quality management

Supplier Quality:

• Evaluate and qualify suppliers based on quality performance and delivery capabilities.
• Monitor supplier performance and take corrective actions as needed to ensure consistent quality.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Stay informed of relevant industry regulations, standards, and certifications (e.g., ISO, CE marking, FDA).
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain necessary documentation.

Continuous Improvement:

• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
• Lead or participate in lean manufacturing or Six Sigma initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in quality management, preferably in equipment for nanomaterial synthesis
• Strong understanding of quality management principles, tools, and techniques.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using quality management software and tools.

About Accelerated Materials

Accelerated Materials’ vision is to bring sustainable, next generation nanomaterials to reality. As a spinout from the University of Cambridge and the Cambridge Centre for Advanced Research and Education in Singapore (CARES), AM is commercializing a unique platform for nanomaterial synthesis, and is now pushing forward their first laboratory scale synthesis equipment and software products.

• Facilitate improvement projects initiatives derived from Quality, Process and
