What you will do for us:
- Be the visible leader and go-to expert of the Company’s Compliance function for both internal and external stake-holders, including financial services regulators
- Maintain and ensure adherence to the Company’s Compliance Manual, including through delivery of associated Training and Effectiveness assessment
- Conduct periodic Business-wide and AML/CTF Risk Assessments, and recommend preventive and detective control actions to senior management
- Through participation in external stake-holder engagements, ensure the business is kept up to date on regulatory change requirements, including timely implementation of control requirements
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to regulatory bodies
- Participate in continuing education requirements to keep valid necessary professional certifications
- Hands-on implementation of client-specific compliance controls including in the area of AML/CFT Policy & Procedures, Training, Open-reporting, Conflict of Interest, and timely internal testing/independent audits when needed, including execution of conduct of client-specific risk assessment, due diligence to procedures and on-boarding actions
- Conduct and maintain minutes of periodic Policy Compliance Committee deliberations and actions, in order to enable the Company’s Board to discharge its oversight responsibilities
- Assist the CEO and other Functional heads in implementing the company’s growth plans in a compliant manner by working with applicable internal and external stake-holders involved across 3 pillars of our strategy, including development of Digital Asset transactions infrastructure
- Offers growth opportunity to be designated as group Money Laundering Reporting Officer and Chief Compliance Officer for the right candidate
Requirements
- Degree qualified, with minimum 5 years of financial services compliance work experience in Singapore
- Solid technical understanding of financial regulations affecting AML/CFT, KYC, PEP, sanctions and aspects of general compliance
- Demonstrable experience in digital asset storage and transactions management is a must, including implementation of the FATF ‘travel rule’
- Experience in dealing directly with financial services regulators and/or regulatory aspects e.g. payment service act in Singapore
- Ability to engage internal stakeholders and advise and make recommendations on regulatory company policies
- Strong knowledge of MAS regulations; experience working with MAS would be an advantage
- Experience in a compliance role in a financial institution/Bank, preferably in the corporate banking environment
- Professional Certification(s) in the area of Compliance or AML/CTF
