Data Engineer for cloud migration projects (Primarily utilizing AWS, IDMC, Databricks and Tableau)

Role and Responsibilities

• Develop ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to cleanse, transform, and enrich data, making it suitable for analytical purposes using Databricks' Spark capabilities and Informatica IDMC for data transformation and quality.

Requirements / Qualifications

Key responsibilities:

• Provide IT support operation on daily basis, include below activities:

- IT asset management (include the hardware and software) – manage all company IT asset with proper traceability record;

- Support HR on all employee on-board/off-board process including IT training;

- Provide all IT system setup and admin work; (file control, VPN setup and special software admin work support);

- IT Level 1 helpdesk support to all company staff include remote user from worldwide, it could be PC issue, office printer, phone system or network related issues;

- Troubleshooting AD/DC, Exchange server, File Server and Application server issues and provide a solution.

- Troubleshoot and configure the firewall, router and switch when issues arises.

- Escalate to 3rd party IT support vendor if issue couldn’t be fixed within same day, coordinate with IT support vendor resolve issues within TAT, document down for all IT issues and solutions in return document;

- Liaise with IT vendor management, include IT hardware/software quotation, costing, PR process and make proposal if any recommend system tools).

• System maintenance work on regular basis, include below activities:

- All System backup (File server backup, NAS storage backup, offline backup activity), verify all system backup files are working properly;

- Coordinate department head on storage Clean up include File server, SharePoint and NetApp;

- Monitor Server room temperature and humidity, and make sure all server related equipment (E.g.: UPS) are working under good condition;

- Pulse check all on server, router and firewall log and flag out all abnormal activities immediately;

- Regular update antivirus related tools and window related system patches.

• IT governance and direction:

- Maintain all IT related record (contract, agreement, software authorization, etc.) and regularly updates or renew on time;

- Keep updating and release new IT P&P (Policy & Procedure), BCP(Business Continuity Plan) and DRP(Disaster Recovery Plan);

- Working with finance and country IT support on IT budgeting yearly basis and review it quarterly;

- Assist external or internal auditor on IT compliance or ISO related audit;

- Evaluate vendor proposal and provide justification to management.

• IT related projects management (Ad Hoc or on-going) and provide weekly basis updates to management):

- IT project plan, budgeting and proposal;

- IT project deployment after project approved;

- IT project verification and provide necessary training to end user;

- IT project sign off and documentation.

Position: Project Engineer (Civil and Structural)

Responsibilities:

· To assist the Project Manager on project site work by focusing mainly on the aspects of construction, safety quality management, and project coordination of projects and maintenance works and to ensure smooth work progression and completion within target time and budget.

· Prepare method statements, design plans, and specifications.

· Liaise with the stakeholders (e.g. clients, authorities, consultants) on permits, drawings, and design matters.

· Develop projected milestone and operational plans for different phases of the project which includes scheduling, monitoring and reviewing of the work of others.

· Determine project requirements and estimate resources such as manpower, materials and equipment.

Fabrica AI is reinventing how robots are developed. Currently novel robots take 5-20 years. We are building a design automation platform to bring it down to a month, and have already demonstrated significant progress by developing tile grouting robots in record time. Robotics simulation and reinforcement learning has been advancing a lot making it 1000x cheaper to train robots compared to 5 years ago, and as Jensen Huang said at Nvidia GTC 2024, "the ChatGPT moment for robotics may be just around the corner." A couple other companies are building on the same paradigm shift but we are the only ones using it to automate hardware design, not just software.

Building robots and a design automation platform together brings great synergy - the platform helps us develop robots faster than anyone else and the robots allow us to gather data and do experiments at scale. Data gathering can be done through partnerships with other robotics companies, but doing experiments is crucial for grounding the platform in reality and ensuring its usefulness. The grouting robots are already deploying daily at construction sites and bringing value to clients. We are currently negotiating sales worth around 500k USD. With manufacturing cost multiple times lower than companies using a traditional robotic arm, our robots have an ROI in weeks. Our robot is also small and simple to use, operating from a single button without the need to upload floorplans or do any complex setup.
