As the Food Safety and Quality Assurance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety, quality, and compliance with ISO22000 for our central kitchen, supermarket counters and trading business under the subsidiary company.

Your key responsibilities include:

1. Compliance Management:

• Oversee and implement food safety and quality management systems in accordance with ISO22000.
• Conduct regular internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal standards.

2. Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of all food safety and quality assurance activities.
• Prepare comprehensive reports for management, summarizing key performance indicators and areas for improvement.

3. Training and Development:

• Develop and deliver training programs for operation staff at the central kitchen and supermarket counters on food safety protocols and best practices.
• Keep the team informed about updates in food safety regulations and industry trends.

4. Incident Response:

• Establish and implement effective procedures for handling food safety incidents and product recalls protocols.
• Conduct thorough investigations into any breaches of food safety standards and recommend corrective actions.

5. Supplier and Vendor Management:

• Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure the quality and safety of raw materials used in our production processes.
• Evaluate and approve suppliers based on established criteria.

Qualifications:

• Certification in ISO22000.
• Proven experience in food safety and quality assurance, preferably in the sushi and sashimi production industry.
• Strong knowledge of local and international food safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and training skills.

• Respond promptly and professionally to high-priority complaints or concerns escalated by internal departments or external stakeholders, ensuring a service-oriented approach.
• Act as a key point of contact between internal departments and external entities (e.g., citizens, businesses, and other government agencies) to resolve issues efficiently and effectively, with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
• Ensure that all written communications adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and agency policies, while reflecting the agency’s commitment to quality service.
• Maintain detailed and organized records of escalations, including actions taken, outcomes, and follow-up requirements, to ensure accountability and continuous improvement in service delivery.
• Identify trends and recurring issues in escalated cases, and provide feedback to improve processes, policies, and communication strategies that enhance the quality of service. Prepare concise and insightful written briefs on complex escalated issues, offering recommendations that prioritize both resolution and service quality.

Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications or similar related field.
• At least 2-3-years of experience in a writing or communications role
• Demonstrated ability to manage escalations and sensitive situations with tact and professionalism.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Quality Control:

· Lead the creation of a QC process for the region

· Create standardized Inspection and Test plan for projects

· Create standard QC checklists and inspection forms for the projects, supported by the local project teams

Roles & Responsibilities

• Generate inspection report, Certificate of Compliance (COC) and other relevant documents required for shipping
• Prepare inspection, Frist Article inspection report, other QC reports as specified in the quality plan
• Use ERP system (EPICOR) daily to accurately move and manage finished goods throughout the plant into inventory
• Convert raw files to PDF format; scan files and electronically store into various databases
• Carry out incoming, in-process inspection, outgoing inspection and planned dimensional checking of products as per quality plan
• Coordinate with production supervisors whenever product quality out of specification
• Any other ad hoc duties as per assigned by superior

Requirements

• Minimum GCE ‘O’ level & above
• Knowlege in basic computer skills, able to write reports, read engineering drawings
