5. Incident Investigation and Reporting

• Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes.
• Document and report incidents in accordance with company and legal requirements.
• Recommend and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents.

6. Safety Audits and Inspections

• Conduct regular inspections of workplaces, tools, and equipment to ensure safety standards are met.
• Address any non-compliance issues and follow up to ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Prepare detailed reports and track the implementation of safety improvements.

7. Emergency Response Planning

• Develop emergency response plans (e.g., for fire, chemical spills, electrical hazards) and ensure their proper implementation.
• Regularly conduct emergency drills and ensure all employees are trained in evacuation protocols.

8. Safety Culture Promotion

• Foster a safety-first culture across the organization by promoting awareness and proactive reporting of safety issues.
• Encourage all employees to engage in safety initiatives and ensure they understand their roles in maintaining a safe working environment.

9. Collaboration with Other Departments

• Work with HR, operations, and management to ensure safety procedures are integrated into day-to-day activities.
• Provide advice and guidance on safety-related aspects of new projects, processes, or equipment.

10. Reporting and Record-Keeping

• Maintain accurate and organized records of safety training, inspections, incident investigations, and audits.
• Provide regular safety performance reports to senior management, highlighting trends and improvement opportunities.

11. Continuous Improvement

• Regularly review the effectiveness of the safety programs and recommend necessary improvements.
• Stay current on industry best practices and emerging safety technologies.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• Valid MOM registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO).
• Certification in WSH management (e.g., Certified WSH Officer, NEBOSH, or ISO 45001 Lead Auditor).
• At least 3 - 5 years of experience in a safety management role, preferably in a similar industry.
• Proven track record of managing workplace safety initiatives and improving safety standards.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
• High degree of integrity, with a focus on ensuring safety standards are upheld across all levels.
• Willingness to continuously update knowledge on safety trends, regulations, and best practices.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including employees, contractors, and regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring Compliance to Contractual obligations of both Owner and Contractor in all Project related works.
• Manage all spheres of Contracts between Owners Engineers, Lenders Engineers, Independent Engineers, and Contractors
• Preparation of Contract Appreciation Document
• Monitoring & Timely Certification of payment claims of Contractors / OE / IE and other Contractors.
• Managing of Claims and Deviations from EPC Contractors and Managing of Counterclaim’s to EPC Contractors
• Listing, Undertaking costs analysis, Formulating, Bidding, finalization of non-EPC scope of works.
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts with third parties.
• Construction budget preparations and managing the cash flow requirement.
• Customs clearance co-ordination ensuring timely document clearance.
• Participation in the monthly/weekly Project Reviews
• Contracts Administration for minor works (Preparation of Proposal to Signing & closing of Contracts)
• Managing Procurement Contracts Logistics and advising on procurement strategy.
• Monitor transaction compliance (milestones, deliverables, invoicing etc.)
• To assist the Project Director for negotiations with the Contractor in the case of probable disputable issues so that amicable settlement is reached.
• Preparation of Briefs for lawyer’s opinions / Senior Counsel
• Preparation of documents for Dispute Resolution/Mediation to close and resolve claims.
• Guide site team members on Contract awareness and any ambiguity.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering field or equivalent education
• At least 9 to 12 years relevant experience in contract management
• Experience in Contract management in an EPC environment would be beneficial
• Experience in negotiation and conflict management.
• Confident in abilities and proven track record.
• Ability to communicate well with team members and possess excellent team building skills.
• Should lead the negotiation and discussion with EPC Contractor representative

Responsibilities:

• Assist Senior Contracts Manager in tender/contract review and finalizing the tender sum.
• Help with contract administration, progress claims, and liaise with the Client's representative on claims and variation costs.
• Compile subcontractor quotes for review and approval.
• Keep Contract Manager updated on all contractual and site matters.
• Review and verify subcontractor/supplier claims and prepare payment certificates for approval.
• Prepare final accounts and variation submissions.
• Maintain quality systems in the Contracts Department.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Quantity Surveying or equivalents.
• At least 5 years of working experience related field.
• Preferably experienced in pipe jacking works and tunnelling projects.
