In this position as a Claims Manager for the Life Insurance team, you will be reporting to the HOD and work alongside with a team of Claims Specialists. You will be required to assess/process and approve claims for death, critical illness, disability, terminal illness & other complex claims within service turnaround time.

The ideal incumbent must be able to manage claims investigation independently and attend to service recovery, complaint, appeal and enquiry escalated from customer contact points.

Job Description

• Manage daily finance operations, including AR, AP, cash flow, G/L, tax, and bank reconciliations
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry in the accounting system for report consolidation and support
• Conduct financial analysis on business initiatives, providing insightful reports and analyses on financial performance
• Prepare financial projections, monthly management reports, annual budgets, and profitability analyses
• Facilitate monthly closing processes and transaction reconciliations
• Liaise with banks, auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance and address financial queries
• Support HR & Admin tasks related to recruitment, onboarding, and office management
• Manage payroll, payment coordination, and company license renewals
• Undertake additional finance and accounting duties as needed

The Successful Applicant

• Diploma in Accounting/Finance, and/or equivalent
• 3 years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of finance, accounting principles, GST, and corporate tax matters
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel/Microsoft Word
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, capable of working under tight deadlines
• High level of discretion and judgement in handling confidential information
