Job Description

The Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum (LKCNHM) was established in 2015, but its collection of natural history specimens spans more than two centuries, and continues to increase. Apart from physical specimens, it manages a growing collection of digital resources including images, publications, and other types of digital records which are necessary for research and education. We are seeking a dynamic and suitably qualified individual to lead in, suggest solutions and implement systems/strategies to manage this growing digital footprint and to work with LKCNHM subject specialists to curate and archive the large amount of scientific and other data, and information generated through research on biodiversity in Southeast Asia. The individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring that scientific data and information is managed in such a way that allows easy and smooth access to users, thus supporting the advancement of research and education.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following -

1) Scope and develop a platform to serve as a biodiversity information gateway for Singapore biodiversity information.
2) Assist with all museum-wide aspects of information and data relating to the collections: organizing information, storage, preservation and use of data on the collections
3) Relate and link various databases and other digital resources that come under LKCNHM to be accessible through the biodiversity information gateway.
4) Curate and/or organise the digital collections at LKCNHM, including new genomic, imaging, specimen, collection and other data that will continuously be generated.
5) Specific duties include:

• Setting up and managing core digital platforms/facilities within the LKCNHM.
• Maintaining the biodiversity information gateway for public delivery of data (for use by researchers, educators or interest groups for example).

Main Responsibilities

• Proactively seek to identify customer needs, develop tailored solutions and sell these to new and existing clients.
• Leading and communicating effectively with your project teams and clients.
• Introducing services from your own/existing discipline(s) to new clients and new services to existing clients.
• Carrying our independent assurance audits for clients Sustainability/Integrated reports (IR)/ESG reports based on various reporting frameworks like GRI, IR Framework, SASB, TCFD etc.
• Involvement in independent assessment / verification of client’s sustainability indicators involving environment (Scope 1, 2 and Scope 3 emissions), social and governance indicators.
• Involvement in the execution of ESG Assurance projects.
• Involvement in review and assessment of client’s net Zero Targets or Science based Targets.
• Involvement in materiality assessments, impact assessments, review of stakeholder engagements
• Support organizations in implementing TCFD recommendations, assessing climate-related risks and opportunities, and supporting them in preparing high-quality disclosures to enhance transparency and enable informed decision-making by stakeholders.

Position Qualifications:

• University Degree in Engineering / Environmental science or Sustainability studies.
• Additional qualifications relevant to sustainability subject areas from GRI, SASB, BRSR, ISO 14064 etc. will be an advantage.
• At least 7-10 years of proven track record in delivering ESG & Sustainability services.
• Strong problem solving and data analysis skills, data interpretation and first principal problem-solving approach.
• Proven track record of leading & delivering of Sustainability services as a trusted advisor and thought leader in their domain of ESG / sustainability.
• Proven project and/or team leader, delivering service excellence.
• Able to provide sufficient guidance, support and feedback on performance of team members.
• Excellent and effective communication and written skills
• Collaborate well with others; share knowledge, experience, and information; support others in the pursuit of team goals.
• Ability to interact and cooperate across cultures.
• Willingness to travel and work around Singapore and on occasions overseas.

Knowledge and Skills:

We are looking for senior and dynamic candidates who:

• Has a good understanding of ESG reporting frameworks, such as GRI, CDP, IR Framework.
• Has a good understanding of GHG Protocols, ISO 14064 and SBTi.
• Has relevant experience in ESG Assurance on various ESG disclosures in line with ISAE 3000 (revised) and / AA1000 assurance standard.
• Has a good knowledge of existing and evolving ESG concepts and practices across sectors/geographies including Life Cycle thinking.
• Has a deep understanding of the ESG market in the region.
• Is good in leading the project deliveries - delivering on-time, on-budget and achieving high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction.
• Maintains flexibility in work hours and work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the creation and execution of the digital customer support operations and strategy across the entire beIN APAC business and to be in tandem with the organizations’ global and regional strategy and leadership.
• Achieve creative excellence through understanding, defining and optimizing the consumer journey and experience across all beIN APAC digital solutions.
• Own and manage customer satisfaction and touchpoints across various digital and social media platforms.
• Craft, manage and lead multi-level 24x7 support tiers with internal and external stakeholders to constantly and timely manage responses to users having issues with our digital products, troubleshoot areas of problems across the technology stack, and continual drive to monitor, track, identify, resolve and improve user experience and enhance product features and processes.
• Develop and conduct product training for customer service agents, ensure they have up-to-date information about Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), our digital products and beIN APAC business.
• Lead and own related tasks to improve customer service & ticketing management workflow. Analyse alternative tools, customer contact channels, and other related product updates for service improvements and initiate & follow through the development process once business has agreed.
• Keep the FAQs and internal knowledge base in the Help Centre up to date.
• Support all digital product user experience report definitions, measurement, collection and analysis of customer behaviour journey and business services across our digital products to improve product experience and drive revenue. Regular reports to management to recommend improvements on the customer journey and experience and service enhancements.
• Manage all client meta-data as well as customer assets and inventory, including EPG integrity on clients, playlists, promotional voucher codes, subscription information, payment transaction reports, and user-reported requests for changes or trouble tickets.
• Manage operational project schedules, timelines, milestones, stakeholders and provide regular reports to management and relevant stakeholders on risks and dependencies
• Support anti-fraud and anti-piracy strategies and technologies including watermarking, fingerprinting, detection, and work with legal and broadcast teams for automation, piracy mitigation strategies, technology deployment and legal take-downs.
• Be a proactive and contributing member of a team to conceptualize and deliver digital programs, operations, and channels driven by state-of-the-art technologies, including AI/ML, chatbots and other creative tools to align with opportunities identified through consumer insights, market trends, and feedback or organizational goals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, customers, suppliers across Asia.
• Keep abreast of competitive and industry trends in the digital space to evaluate beIN’s competitive edge in regional markets.

Requirements

• Familiarity with Customer Support system, e.g. Zendesk or other CRM & ticketing management systems.
• A good command of spoken and written English.
• Conversant with another Southeast Asian language, e.g. Indonesia Bahasa or Thai.
• Experience with using video-streaming services on various platforms such as web browsers, mobile, and connected TV apps is an advantage.
• Able to work late nights, early mornings and/or weekends when required.
